Coach, yeah I remember you calling Norton for sure. I seem to recall you doing the same for Barton but it’s not as clear in my memory as Norton (Steve from OH)
I remember Norton too, I don’t remember Barton and I read just about every post on here…yes even Coach’s (hangs head in shame)

That play at third was not Casey’s fault. The ball would have gone to the backstop if it hadn’t clipped Frenchy. Good hustle by Matt. The thing about the surplus of outfielders in DC is that they’re fairly stupid people. Milledge got sent down for dogging it, Kearns must be the worst RF in baseball, Dukes is a headcase, Dunn is a statue. You get the feeling that, like noted bonehead Dick Stuart, they are out there thinking about their next at-bat. Sloppy, slow and stupid.

Well My point is Frenchy and the catcher looked up at Kotchman like he was crazy…for 1 he is slow…and 2 he was already on 2nd. Anyway when your on 2nd you have to be more careful, that’s my only point, especially when your slow.

Ah, another season, more Doc H. complaining about Kelly Johnson. For 2-3 years now, this blog has been subject to Doc H.’s KJ hatred and Robert’s “donk” anti-Cox routine.

I don’t know where Yunel would be best at, to be honest. You can’t blame Bobby for batting him second though, with his avg. with RISP. But, the dp’s are killers, so I’d maybe move him to the 7th spot when McCann gets back and put Schafer 2nd in front of Chipper.

Understood about the risk of injury, but on that play the Nats were giving us the extra base, especially with the Slug Dunn fumbling the ball…Gotta take advantage of the AAA Nats giving us extra bases…
But Its moot now because of the DP
But I did overreact in a sense, lack of hustle and little awareness on the basepaths Irks me, and sometimes makes a difference in close Games…I’m pretty sure all who watched those close 1-run losses last year know what I mean….

Open base for Chipper means pitcher shouldn’t throw him anything to hit.
