I actually went outside (it is still at least 80 degrees outside) and had a cigarette, which is a problem because I don’t smoke…maybe I should have dug out the vodka, huh?

A little rain for baseball is OK, but when it just continues, it does eventually affect the game, and often times the winning team is the one who gets the most “breaks” from the rain soaked field/balls/etc.
It is just very unfortunate. Both pitchers were pitching well, but the Nats maybe got a break or two that the Braves didn’t.
Oh well.

I wasn’t a big fan of signing him either but look at it The Anemic Braves offense has cost him his last 2 outings! And also has cost the team from being 4-0 on this roadtrip and wasted quality starts by the braves starters…The Blow-pen is a whole another story however…

cabravesfan…He was not hustling! I have it on tape. It took mucj=h longer for their SS to make the throw and it wasn’t close. Dukes beat Escobar’s throw which was quicker. Francoeur is a former defensive cornerback drafted high by Clemson and touted for all his talents.
Pete…sorry you have to explain what constitutes an official game with rain, but you missed the Ross call. The infielder does own the basepath if making a play. However, that ball was gone and in left field when contact was made; a clear case of obstruction!

The 1st Baseman threw the ball to the SS, who was attempting to catch the ball, which hit Ross in the helmet. The SS was making a valid attempt to catch the ball when Ross contacted him. Doesnt matter that the SS did not initially “field” the pop up; he was attempting to catch a throw from the 1st Baseman. If he was not attempting to catch a throw and just stood in the base path, then it would be obstruction.
Pls check the rule. If there is an arguement to be made, Bobby will always be involved. So if youre right, why didnt Bobby argue? The announcers were wrong, and should know better.

I thought they could call the game complete after a certain amount of innings were played. Apparently…I was wrong!! This is insane. Guessing DOB is belly up somewhere having a good chuckle. If your life is dependent upon the Braves having success to make you a confindent, positibe person, you really should hang up watching and rooting for any professional team. Get a life. Baseball is meant to be an enjoyment for the fan, even if your team doesn’t play great all the time.It’s early, so how about having a little faith in your team over the long haul.
