Personally, leading off an inning I’d pinch hit Prado or Infante ahead of Norton. But once Norton is introduced why burn him? Can he not hit right-handed anymore?

Escobar slightly bobbles a ball to lead off the inning by the CF who turns out to score the leading run because he was hustling sown the line to get aboard.

Top of the 7th, Francoeur hits a ball to SS and he bobbles the ball worse, but Francoeur is thrown out because he is not hustling and assumes he will be out and it’s not cool to hustle and try to show up the other side.

Difference? They scored the leading run now in a game likely to be called and we had 1 out and no one on base! No sense in the play of some of these players. They should be benched until… Chipper got a leg triple earlier by hustling and by God the rest of them are not too good to hustle.

A team of Navy Seals should be dispatched to get the press box occupants and stadium workers out of there. The Players can take care of themselves. Nobody in the District is stupid enough to mess with Dukes.

Yeah, let’s go on the blog and pretend like we know something. And hey, it’s a blog, so we can be obnoxious, and nobody can do anything about us.

Those old farts who come on the blog, well, they can go to… well, you know. See ya later Lew, Steve, Nolie, flange and N8. You guys are no longer needed on the blog. Don’t come back, cause we don’t need you.

You need to check the rulebook. The fielder ALWAYS has the right to field or catch a ball, and its up to the runner to avoid him IF the fielder is making, or attempting to make, a play. Clearly that was the case, and thats why Bobby didnt argue it.

Murph Rocks: “Anthony — yes, you only need to play 5 and 1/2 innings to qualify for a game. Thus, of this is called, the result would stand as is. Sadly.”
Murph, its only 4 1/2 to qualify for a game. For example if the Braves were losing 3-2 and did not score in top of 5th, the Nats win if the game is called on account of rain. Each team has to have at least 5 chances at the plate, unless the home team is leading after 4 1/2 innings. Home team would not need to bat in bottom of 5th since they already have the lead, and the visiting team had 5 innings at the plate.

In fact if I’m Dukes, I say to the umpires “Call it now and I’ll see everyone gets home safely”. I guarantee that there is a lawsuit pending if someone gets hurt or killed because they jerked around a rain delay long enough to endanger safety of people leaving.
