Wow….no runs through 5 innings against the Pirates!! Sorry but I am going to take my entertainment time elsewhere. Like to Friday Night Lights. Good luck Bravos! Might be time to put Francouer on the clock if you catch my drift. That Alejandro guy is pretty good, never ever heard of him but pretty good. Seems many many guitarists good or better. But nice. Low key.

Rock on……All pale to Jimmy Page. Sorry.

What do you want him to do with the bases loaded and no outs other than swing away? Shall we have them try to squeeze with a force at home? What else is there.

And with a runner on second and no outs, a large fault for not getting the runner over is the batter’s fault. The batter should know that he needs to hit it to the right side.

I am not saying Bobby doesn’t do anything wrong but some of you guys are very unreasonable with your criticism. The old saying: The manager gets too much credit for a win and too much blame for a loss. Except on this board Bobby gets no credit for anything.

These are the games that make me furious seeing Chipper munching on gum or spitting chew in the dugout when his bat could be the difference. Not his fault he’s hurt, but I’m still mad.

I have thought for years the braves have fielded a team that was poorly constructed for Turner field. it is a larger ball park than AFC stadium and more difficult to hit home runs..but the braves continually try to go for the 3 run HR..earl weaver style..not a bad thing..just not one suited for this ball park. no hit and run..no steals…

Well at least the Mets have blown another lead. But on a good note good to see JJ going deep into the game. If we had gotten him at least two runs you feel good with Soriano and Gonzalez coming up and not having to worry about the dreaded middle relief. Seems to me the Braves have tried to bunt about 3-4 times tonight, and they’ve hit the ball hard in some crucial situations, but either right at people or the defense has made great plays.

Here are my major concerns re the Braves this year.

1. Pitch count. Look at the numbers. The other night the pitchers threw over 180 pitches. Compare this to some games where Maddox threw 90 pitches in a complete game. Tonight JJ has thrown almost 120 pitches in 6 innings. The only good thing about the pitch count is that Andrews will be kept busy with surgeries.

2. Left field. Who are we kidding. Three errors in the first 8 games. No speed. Injury prone. Huge weakness.

3. Chipper. Remember the days of Bob Horner and the bad wrist. Every year we would hope for a complete year. The same is true of Chipper. Chipper will do 90 games this year. You can not build a team around a star with a history of injuries.

These are the 3 reasons why 3 teams will finish ahead of the Braves this year.

Bob.

On the Bobby doesn’t know what he’s doing, wake him up’-discusions. Just imagine: he leaves JJ in, who strikes out (as he should, if you go by the numbers).
Quite a couple of denizens would have been going mentall, stating he should never have done that. Get your pinch-hitter in, it’s just a one run game, no need to bring him back with his pitchcount anyhow….
I’m not saying I’m a fan or not of Bobby, but this blog seems to be rather ‘rollercoaster-ride’ up and down on the smallest details going right or wrong. Anyway, that was my last 2 eurocents on it.
