If we are gonna have Hoss Out and Frenchie hitting singles, then put Frenchie in the 3rd slot, because Infante scares no one…Maybe Bobby C. is afraid that Frenchie will fall back to his bad habits if he were in the 3rd slot…

Braves sure aren’t hitting like a team that came in with the NL’s best average with RISP (.382) and best average with RISP and two outs (.442, 19-for-43)

Well, it’s obvious that the Braves don’t play small ball, don’t hit HR’s, are starting to NOT hit RISP… and i’m afraid Mac has some vision issues in that eye by the way…just don’t see a but of difference from ‘08. But, it’s early

We really are a boring team to watch. Been like that for about 4 years now (maybe longer). Where is our stand out player? Its not Chipper because he is a wimp that will sit out with a hang nail. We dont have a big bat that people come to see hit a monster home run. There is no player that other teams fans hate just by their name.

Im a Braves fan for life but good God… Bobby Ball is really BORING!!!!!!!!!!

Nice getting out of the inning by JJ…

As for our Offense. I for one thought the homeruns the team hit were an aberration because 1/2 of them were hit at CBP in Philly, This anemic offense isn’t gonna cut it in this division

But we also need to do better with hitting R.I.S.P. than what we’ve witnessed 2nite…

Have you ever had a car you just loved and after a few years the motor throwed a rod? A beautiful girl friend that you just loved but after a few years she got old? A great hunting dog the won a dozen ribbons but after a few year just won’t hunt anymore. That’s the was I feel about Bobby Cox, he just won’t hunt anymore. I love what he did but he just can’t anymore. The Braves need new direction!

Eric are you watching the game? They’ve been getting ahead a lot and walking guys or giving up singles. It was a collective statement about some pitchers. Overall…JJ is pitching great though.

Infante and Prado are going to be in the lineup a lot more…or they should…play infante at third or short or left….prado…at first…or short or left. Its not like Chipper is going to be healthy all year….neither is Esco. And Kotchman could use someone to replace him against lefties.

zmerk13,

What has Bobby done wrong?

It’s a continue trend of developing an offensive club where no adjustments are ever made.

Everyone’s responsibility is to go up and swing away.

Runner on 2nd, nobody out – swing away!

Bases loaded, nobody out – swing away!

Blown opportunities – for years on end.

And now, we do this in the regular season as opposed to just the post-season.

For the 2nd straight year, the Florida Marlins field a team with a miniscule payroll and whip our butts.
Why?

If the manager is never hold responsible, then they might as well do a fan drawing and have 162 managers during the season.

We knew we weren’t going to have much power coming in to the season but it seams to me like were hitting a few to many airballs. This team needs to do more things like working the count and forcing teams like the marlins to have to move and play defense. I give the pirates credit as they have been playing some good D but we need to get the ball out of the air. Especially for players like Schafer because he forces the defense to have to throw him out.
