As for waiting for a HR, seems to me the problem is that our guys aren’t executing when called on. Like yesterday when they sent Prado on a 3-2 count with less than two outs. Schafer, needing at least to get the bat on the ball, swung through (going for the downs) a pitch right-down-the-middle which resulted in a strike-’em-out/throw-’em-out double-play. The kid’s still a kid. Bad move relying on an un-tried, never more the AA ball kid as your everyday guy.

tn oldschool you suck. Jordan Schafer is a stud and is going to be a star. He’s going to struggle this year because he’s a rookie who has barely played over high A ball. You need to learn about baseball before posting on this blog.

I have to admit Chipper pushes the rest of the lineup to do good when he is in there. I don’t like that we rely on one player this much though. It reminds me of how the Falcons used to live and die with Mike Vick. Im sure Chipper will be out more this year but our guys have to step up and be ready with or without him in there.

Vazquez is an ‘innings eater’ and he has a 10 run lead….but Cox still pulls him after only 6 innings. That’s the way to wear out a bullpen like he does every year
