And the wheels come off the JoJo express!

To all the Cox fans: If he’s so damn smart.. Why can’t he demand his players work the count every single at bat? (And if they refuse, then cut ‘em loose?)

Tomahawkin I agree, he deserved better, but when gets back out after we get 3 outs on 5 pitches, doesn’t really help him out.

I though Jo Jo pitched OK and deserves to be left in the 5th spot. He got a tough break n the ball hit to Schafer and the one hit back up to him that hit him.

I know everyone will think its crazy…but if that triple is not misplayed, Sanchez is on 1st with one out, the infield is not pulled in, then that hit off JoJo’s leg is a FC at best and with 2 outs we get out of the inning. JoJo would still be in the game down 1.

I feel bad for our starters becuase they feel like they have to be perfect out there. The performance of this offense the last 3 games is just pitiful. We can’t do the little things which should have been something that was stressed for this team since we knew we didn’t have that big homerun hitter in the lineup. Their defense isn’t even moving. It’s to easy right now for other teams. I mean we can’t even get a hit accidently.

Hilarious that they are advertising for Braves season tickets after the team has just gone down five runs and have lost four games in a row and will most certainly lose a fifth in a row to go a game below .500.

This team is going nowhere. Assuming Chipper misses his usual 45 game, at best we’ll go 15-30 in those. So to get to 90 wins we’d need to go 75-42 in the others. Uh, no chance of that. Another year of looking up at the Phils, Mets and now Marlins. Can’t wait for Frank Wren’s spin on the young guys being close. Maybe we’ll have a shot in 2011.

“Braves are a pretty bad team without Chipper and Escobar in the lineup.”

Yup. It’s going to be tough to win a division considering the two best players on the team(in my mind) is Chipper and McCann. One, a catcher, and the other, an oft-injured third baseman. We’ll need some good luck. Haven’t had that in a while. 2005, to be exact.

Injuries or not, this is pretty much the team that will be on the field the rest of the year. Chipper and Escobar being in doesn’t matter one way or the other (they were in during the Marlin series and the final result was still the same).

And don’t give me this “The Marlins are a good team” stuff after it took them extra innings to beat the Nats in game 1 and are currently down 6-2 in game 2. The Nats have scored 8 runs in two games while it took the braves 3 games just to score 7 .. just saying.

No, their good stretches will be when they win 2-3 in a row but for the most part I figure most of their games will become losses. And denying it won’t make it any easier.

Its just another game, just another loss. There are 151 of them left and its a long season. I’ll be happy to run the same lineup out there tomorrow and hope the boys have it. I know some of our bullpen guys have had some troubles, but I’ll also keep pitching those same guys and hope for a change. We need to get Chipper healthy again so he can play for a couple weeks and then re-injure something, and we need to get Casey up in the order because he’s a terrifying power hitter. Oh, and before I forget…LOVE the defensive effort on the part of Kelly Johnson. He’s just a tremendous talent in the field.

P-Town Brave,

I dont know where my post went but I just mentioned that a few minutes ago…………

KJ………….swinging for the fence everytime up………..you are the freaking leadoff hitter………..you dumb head…………get thef_________ on base.

GA——– I dont care about your 2 doubles———you ssssssssss__________

Braves have changed player year in year out…………TEXEIRA, LAROCHE, ORR, WOODWAR, MILLER, BJ, HARRIS, THOMPSON, BOYER, DEVINE, SMOLTZ, GLAVINE, HAMPTON, KYLE, RAMIREZ, JAMES,………… AND SO ON…………… tons of player………..same spirit……….

the only thing in common is old bobby……..and his stooooopit philosophy……….wait for the HR. sickening patience on “promising” players……. Then they sent Devine away too early IMO.

Even Schafer is swinging for the fence……….thats because thats the smell on the club house…….thats bobby philosophy. He has infected Schafer with his stooooooopydyty…….

I have to confess ………when we were playing the nats……….even them looked more aggressive than we have against pitts.

We make every single pitcher…….no matter if it is the 5th in the rotation………look like Gregg Maddux.

Prado out like a mile on 2b………I suppose it was a hit & run, but, do you call a hit & run with a hitter with 11 K on his last 10 ABs?

JoJo and his 5 inning syndrome……..same as James. Just can complete 6 innings……..thats out of the question……….that epidemic from guys in our minor league system. I wouldnt be surprised to see Hanson walk that same path……..5+ and out of there.

who is worse – the braves team or the braves announcers?

Announcers brag on adjustments Jordan is making in center only to watch him miss play a single into a triple and then once again run to the wall and misplay a double. Then the announcers note that the braves are doing a great job of preventing homeruns by the other team – sure enough 2 homers & counting (?) follow

This team has a will to lose & these announcers are such pathetic idiotic homers. Oh yeah, also noted that Jordan had tweaked his left wrist as an explanation for his not hitting anymore. What a bunch of wusses
