i know, what was bobby thinking there? this team has issues….from the top down. looks like we are in for another long season. great pitching…horrible offense. soon as we get good offense then we will have horrible starting pitching. this team is full of flat out chokers. this team is garbage….

I have to say the Braves are pretty bad, like bottom feeders. We can go ahead and book 4th place again. The offense is awful, Chipper is hurt to often and will miss alot of games. Lets face it this team will continue to struggle until we pick up some right handed power bat. Yes Frank Wren looks like Swisher is off to a banging start and hes a switch hitter but you thought Diaz who swings at anything and Garrett Anderson who cant play the feild could be good haha its sad everyone in the lineup is struggling and are hottest hitter is single hitting Francouer. BOOOOOOOO my hometown team is awful its sad 1 run is alot to us.

Even with Chipper and Yunel in the line up, not sure we’d be seeing much of a difference. Anyone else?
I don’t know- I know things can change but any optimism from the beginning of the year is completely gone now. Making Ian Snell look like Greg Maddox.

OK, that was strange. At first I thought Schafer just misread it. But replays clearly showed the ball bounced the OTHER way after it hit the grass. It was splicing to the right, then landed and shot back to the left. So while he looked bad on the play, I really don’t see much more that he could’ve done. He was going to the ball and it didn’t bounce the way anyone would have expected it to.

Me neither. You see my other posts on page 12? Bobby really has to group the hotter hitters. That would mean Infante, Prado, Frenchy, behind KJ, and in front of McCann and Kotch. Not sure why they’re all spread out. If they’re together, then at least once a game 2 will get on base in the same inning..

How long until we move KJ to rf frenchy to center and prado at 2nd. It is a no brainer right now we cant have Jordan going 0-4 with 4 K. KJs glove is killing us at 2nd we need to stop the bleeding. Dial 911 Bobby before Jordan loses all his confidence and turns into a wohlers head case.

Don’t know what you’re talking about Steve. I speak for myself and I wasn’t getting on Frenchy at anytime this season. Maybe you’re talking about someone else. This is actually something I said yesterday. For the record the only person I had a problem with was Boyer and his struggles and I said so on past post but he’s gone now so i’m good.

This team Has Flat Out Sucked…We got Clowned by the Marlins and Now we are making the AAA Pirates look like a(n) 100 win team, WTF…I could understand if we were playing a playoff contender which is why this is more difficult to swallow…
It’s still early, We’d just better be thankful that the Phillies and the Mets haven’t come out Clowning

well, that one really wasn’t Schafer’s fault… what a weird (and unfortunate) bounce. Cost Jo-Jo a run. To a great extent, you make your own luck, but the Braves sure aren’t getting any breaks.

I think he’s played too shallow on some guys, I really do. I mean, you expect a ball or two to get over the CF on hard-hit balls, but it’s been too many times in the past week that Schafer’s gone scrambling back on balls that hit the front edge of the warning track.
As I type that, there goes one he couldn’t get to … because it landed in the bullpen.
Uh, ballgame. Braves down 5-0 through six. And Pirates just got another double….

DOB: Any chance that the Braves bring up Tommy Hanson after this game by Reyes? Reyes looked alright for the most part, but he got hammered late and now it looks like the Braves are well on their way to 5 losses in a row..
This season isn’t looking much different then last season to tell you the truth.. Its still early, but they seem to be playing with no heart right now.. The offense is on life support, and the starting pitching can’t win with no run support no matter how good they pitch..
