I think it would be great if a team from the NL East picked up Boyer on waivers. That way he could contribute to the loss column for some other teams too.

According to flange1 Elvis Andrus will likely be another Rafael Belliard and, after all, the Braves ended up with Kotchman and Medlen. This spin reaches a new level of stupidity. If you doubt that the Braves were severly duped, just ask anyone other than a few of the blind diehards who avoid reality.

Does anyone really believe that the Rangers (or anyone else) would trade Andrus for Kotchman and Medlen? How about Saltalamacchia for both of them? Next would be Matt Harrison for both of them? And finally, Feliz for both of them? there is no way anyone would give up any of those four for Kotchman and Medlen.

And, of course, the brilliant management of the Braves gave up all four plus Beau Jones to rent "Big Tex" for a year. By the way, where are those two trips to the playoffs guaranteed by some of you at the time of the Teixeira trade? The fact is that "Big TEx", as you boys like to call him, is not a winner. Good numbers overall but no playoff appearances. But, I will admit that he is probably preferrable to Kotchman and Medlen.

The management of the Rangers should be indicted for grand larceny and the management of the Braves should be subject to a competency hearing.

Wayne,
To expound on your late night Bueno discussion: That incident was part of the on-going Ted Lilly vs. Braves bean-ball experience that has a 2 year history, now. If I remember correctly, It went down like this:

2007
-Alfonso Soriano hit 3 bombs vs the Braves in one game. Tim Hudson thought he stood and admired them a little too much, so he hit him with a pitch in the back the next day.
-Ted Lilly retaliated in the 3rd game by hitting Edgar Renteria in the chin with a pitch.
-Edgar promptly stole second and planted a Colombian elbow into Mike Fontenot's jaw (it was his major league debut, I think.)

2008
-Ted Lilly decided he wasn't finished as he sailed a fastball toward Brian McCann's face on the first pitch following a Greg Norton 3-run HR.
-Jeff Bennett nailed Alfonso Soriano, breaking his hand.
-Ryan Dempster hit Brian McCann in the butt in that same game.
-Later in the season Soriano admired another long fly, but this time is hit the wall, and he wound up with only a single.
-One inning later Franciscely Bueno (in his ML debut) threw at Soriano's head. He was ejected, demoted to AAA, and suspended 3 games which will be served at the time of his next call-up.
-Ted Lilly, once again, goes for the kill shot, but Yunel Escobar blocked it with his arm. No retaliation followed from the Braves.

There is some stupid team that would pick up Boom Boom Boyer? I'll personally deliver him there if so. He should have been gone last year when he got pillaged in Wrigley Field.

Campillo is out for the season........that shoulder stuff.......That spells the beginning of the end for him......in my book.

I dont thin kthe marlins will be able to keep all this magic up for long, deficiencies will start to show up eventually.......what we cant do is allow them to sweep us.......that was a huge mistake. that puts us a week behind them since we will need at least a week to pick up 3 games in the standings.

Good thing is that we could go like 7-2 or even 8-1 in our next 9 games.

Let chipper sit until he is 100%. Ross is already back..

If Yunel needs the day......lets give it to him.. No need to panic about the injuries.........the bench is deep. Play Infante in SS and prado at 3b, those are good enough bats. Bullpen is still the issue.......specially now that campillo is down........and he will be for some time. And we are stuck with boyer for weeks to come.
