Glad to see the Escobar single, but down a run in the 8th, you’d like your batters to work the count at least a bit, wouldn’t you? That’s two of three batters swinging at the first pitch.
Then again, things like bunting and situational hitting have never been a hallmark of Bobby’s teams. The man does love the 3-run homer approach.

yes. i’m watching tonight. kotchman is hitting 269 (and that is after going 1-3 tonight), which means his avg coming into tonight was not 280. corner fielding positions (1B, 3B, RF/LF) should have better production than that. I’m not saying he is a bad player, but we need a hitting 1st baseman, not someone just known for his D. all I’m saying is bat him 8th.
Diaz did start tonight. But i wouldn’t call Diaz the starter in left, would you eric? GA was not brought in to platoon.

What the #$@# is Bobby doing? Honestly…Boyer sucks….should not still be in the game…but Bobby runs him out there to give up runs…makes no sense at all. Getting 2 runs in the ninth is tough…1 not as tough…look at the game against the Phillies…Diaz went yard off of Lidge…but of course we gave up a run the inning earlier…if we have a chance in the game dont put Boyer in…its not that hard. Blaine Boyer is the worst insert explicit pitcher on the Braves squad. We have no chance to win games if he pitches with the game on the line.
In other news, I think 100 games is realistic for Chipper this year. I think that long term deal was premature.
