Yeah, that was quite wrong to not mention Reyes’s throw.
On a side note…it kinda sucks Erin Andrews isn’t on tonight…(Lol)
did joe and chip smoke one?
April 15th, 20099:14 pm
She’s over here at my place doing some investigatory work.
Moylan K’s Mayben, two outs.
Eric from MO
WOW! How did he chase that one?
April 15th, 20099:15 pm
3-0 with the bases loaded, not again…
Run Heap Run
April 15th, 20099:16 pm
What is with this team and the walks? It’s frickin’ absurd.
Is it just me, or does Moylan’s delivery look different?
That’s ugly. We’ve seen enough bases-loaded walks for a season — in the first seven games.
April 15th, 20099:17 pm
Cox sure does love those intentional walks! Which of course didn’t quite pan out this time. Imagine my shock.
Pathetic. Damn listen to the boo birds. 5 bases loaded walks in the first 8 games of the season? They deserve to get boo’ed.
Friggin bases loaded walk!
And Peter Moylan walks in a run, beautiful.
Wow, Moylan a little wild…maybe we should have left Buddy in? He did get a 1-2-3 inning and all? Dont overthink everything Bobby.
I’m just not convinced that Moylan is right
April 15th, 20099:18 pm
Unbelievable how you cannot throw strikes.
I normally dont complain about Cox but why not leave Buddy in for the 7th. If he brought Moylan in for the 8th fine but Buddy isnt a one inning specialist. He could of gone the 7th. If he got a guy on then yank him.
What IS Buddy’s pitch count? 10? 12?
JasonInFL (Formerly ME)
Can’t catch walks…
April 15th, 20099:19 pm
This team needs bullpen help. Badly.
We walked in another run?! Definitely NOT double pits to chesty.
I can throw strikes
man they complain ST is to long but obviously it wasnt long enough moylan couldn’t perfect the get me over fastball that is needed by a pitcher!!!!!
Moylan needs to be down in AAA building up arm strength, he hasnt even gone the full term for recovery for Tommy John surgery. He doesnt have it yet. Bring up Medlen, someone, anyone, please!!!!
O’FLAHERTY TO THE RESCUE.
Let’s bring in our Loogy against a switch hitter! Brilliant!
April 15th, 20099:20 pm
2-0, let’s walk another run in.
Bobby Cox is Deedadee
Bobby why the hell would you let moylan pitch with the bases loaded he is the wildest pitcher ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So a Loogy against righty. Bet he gives up a run.
Seriously, They cannot throw strikes!
Eric I think you are coming to my side and agreeing with me
April 15th, 20099:21 pm
You cannot get these guys out.
April 15th, 20099:22 pm
No Mfin I am not. You complain about everything which is dumb because baseball is a game of failures.
10 Year Old Girl
I can throw strikes more consistently than the Braves’ pitching staff.
wow, a strike out.
That would of been ball 4.
EO to the F, gets DP to the C!
leave it to an Irishman to bail out the Aussie.
April 15th, 20099:23 pm
Strikeout thank you…now get SOME RUNS!
Good job O’Flaherty.
I can’t handle failure well But we should have left Buddy in regardless. Even if Moylan pitched the 8th or not.
April 15th, 20099:24 pm
Who is that #42 he is everywhere just like Bugs Bunny
For the love of god MariettaDerek stop it. You’re never going to get a date acting like that.
April 15th, 20099:25 pm
If the Braves are gonna come back McCann will be the determining factor. Hes gotta get involved next time around.
April 15th, 20099:26 pm
We’ve matched them run for run every inning…looks like we are due for one this inning.
Ya’ll know why God invented Whiskey right? To keep the Irishmen from ruling the world…..
Good work O-dog!
April 15th, 20099:27 pm
Kotchman flies out to the warning track, should’ve ate his wheaties.
April 15th, 20099:28 pm
Schafer lines out to ss.
Kotchman needs to get more aggressive. He swings at one pitch per at bat, almost always with 2 strikes.
Is it time already for the Braves to roll over and lose without a whimper?
April 15th, 20099:29 pm
Investigatory work, eh?
I’ll give her something to investigate…(Lol)…..ME!!!!!!
Terrible at bat by norton. top of the 8th
April 15th, 20099:30 pm
We should ask the Marlins how they built their bullpen…its looked good so far this series.
Nice at bat Norton
Moylan’s ERA dropped from 22.50 to a robust 20.25
April 15th, 20099:33 pm
Where’s Leo when we need him?
Every ballplayer tonight (AL & NL) is wearing #42 in rememberance of the day Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in MLB when he played for the old Brooklyn Dodgers.
Jackie wore #42.
Why must we use 5 relievers to get through every single game? Why did Buddy come out? I just don’t get it! Our pen will be toast by August AGAIN this year!
Wish Garret Anderson was out there.
Garret Anderson's personal trainer
Garrett is applying linament and warming his bones by the fire. He should be all ready to pinch hit by inning 12 or so, if needed.
April 15th, 20099:34 pm
Nice play, Diaz.
I coulda had that. Maybe. Eh whatever.
Fly out to diaz, one out.
The announcer for the Marlins…just said Garret Anderson wouldnt have made that play…lol.
Shouldn’t we be waiting to use Gonzo and Soriano when we have a lead? Where is Blaine Boyer?
By the way, it’s 1-for-10 with seven strikeouts for Schafer in his past four games.
April 15th, 20099:35 pm
Frank I think that was sarcasm.
Ramirez flys out to Francouer.
I wonder if any baseball cards will be made tonight? Would be rare to see any of these guys wearing 42.
April 15th, 20099:36 pm
My 8 year old son could have made that play.
Can someone (maybe DOB in his infinite wisdom) tell me why Kotchman is NOT BATTING IN THE 8-HOLE? No one else should be batting behind Casey with the exception of the pitcher?
also, is there a reason that Garret Anderson is starting over Diaz? His defense is not much better than Matt’s; and we all see how he has started the season with the bat (.143). I’d rather see Matt Diaz have the starting job to lose than sit the bench and watch some FA drop foul ball outs.
April 15th, 20099:37 pm
Cantu grounds out to Kelly.
Greg Norton’s name should be Edgar Trollope.
He looks like a character in one of my novels: the rich but awkward and homely man who tries to marry the heroine but she follows her heart in the end and chooses the true hero instead.
Eric from MO
What was sarcasm?
Soriano has looked great every appearance so far. Way to go!
April 15th, 20099:38 pm
was that GA on that sliding catch?………….nah -I didnt think so
This is starting to look like the past 2 seasons…….relievers parade night after night after night
April 15th, 20099:39 pm
Sorry DOB Schafer is not the problem.
Kenny Powers is available. The Braves may want to look into signing him for the pen.
I was a teenage Francophile
It’s beginning to look like Frenchy gets to strike out to end the game.
I too know the pain of having a damn boy. Sucks.
Just saw Melissa at the Capital drinking glass of tea. Hope she saves me one.
Zephr If the Braves are gonna come back McCann will be the determining factor. Hes gotta get involved next time around.
Yeah, no kidding.
April 15th, 20099:40 pm
Kelly grounds out to 1st.
By the way, it’s 1-for-10 with seven strikeouts for Schafer in his past four games
.Has MF04 had a seizure yet?
Yep, he just fell and hit his head on the stairs.
April 15th, 20099:41 pm
BravesinNJ have you watchd the game tonight. First of all Diaz started and also Kotchman got a big rbi hit. Hell he is batting .280. He is not that bad.
April 15th, 20099:42 pm
Garrett fell asleep. Quick – get him an energy drink.
Would love to see us raslly for a couple of runs here. Getting tired of the cranky blogging.
How did I look ?!!
April 15th, 20099:43 pm
Seriously Kelly? Swinging at the first friggin pitch??? Down by one in the 8th and you are swinging at the first frigging pitch?? What a joke!!!!!!!!!!
this team is starting to look a lot like the last 2-3 braves teams. when the starters are on, the pen is off. when the pitching overall is on; the hitting takes a dive. when the offense scores 11 (yes, 11 friggin runs) the pitching takes a huge dump. the last 3 years the braves have found ways to lose; instead of having off days and finding ways to win those games.
hopefully i’m overreacting to a couple bad games and this year is not even being close to indicative of the past 3 years. if not; it will be an awfully long year.
Did you know?
Hayden Penn is the son of Sean Penn. He was named after his godfather, Tom Hayden.
That Trans Air commercial, Sucks.
April 15th, 20099:44 pm
Frank the guy that was talking about Bunny Bugs. Pretty sure he knew why everyone was wearing 42.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
