That’s ugly. We’ve seen enough bases-loaded walks for a season — in the first seven games.

I normally dont complain about Cox but why not leave Buddy in for the 7th. If he brought Moylan in for the 8th fine but Buddy isnt a one inning specialist. He could of gone the 7th. If he got a guy on then yank him.

Can someone (maybe DOB in his infinite wisdom) tell me why Kotchman is NOT BATTING IN THE 8-HOLE? No one else should be batting behind Casey with the exception of the pitcher?

also, is there a reason that Garret Anderson is starting over Diaz? His defense is not much better than Matt’s; and we all see how he has started the season with the bat (.143). I’d rather see Matt Diaz have the starting job to lose than sit the bench and watch some FA drop foul ball outs.

BravesinNJ

April 15th, 2009

this team is starting to look a lot like the last 2-3 braves teams. when the starters are on, the pen is off. when the pitching overall is on; the hitting takes a dive. when the offense scores 11 (yes, 11 friggin runs) the pitching takes a huge dump. the last 3 years the braves have found ways to lose; instead of having off days and finding ways to win those games.

hopefully i’m overreacting to a couple bad games and this year is not even being close to indicative of the past 3 years. if not; it will be an awfully long year.
