Coach (Skip and Pete will be missed)
April 12th, 20093:54 pm
Three run lead ! sweep, sweep, sweep.
Knock on wood.
April 12th, 20093:55 pm
Can Erin Andrews pitch from the bullpen?
Probably not, MFin04, but if the Bravos need a reliever they can always sign Mike Vick to come in from the pit-bullpen. Of course he may not be available at this precise moment.
April 12th, 20093:56 pm
morton through 6 with still only 1 hit and 12 k’s
April 12th, 20093:57 pm
Wayne in Utah – Do you honestly think a Cox apologist has any credibility in my book? Really, you’re so busy making excuses for bad plays and decisions, I don’t see how you have any time to enjoy the game.
2 on with 1 out…eric walked one then gave up a hit on a pitcher’s pitch
April 12th, 20093:58 pm
Vick doesnt really have that great of an arm…but he could pinch run I bet.
I understand everyone wanting to see Hanson up but why is everyone so eager to write-off Tommy G. Would you have done the same to Smotlz. The guy has earned a shot after all the hard rehab stuff he has been through. Lets wait and watch.
Well, maybe I spoke too soon, O’flaherty can’t pitch to righties after all. At leastBobby’s bringing in Carlysle. At least we know he will throw strikes.
Always too early to feel good about a team, but its never too early to panic, right?
har har….O F and Logan are the best LOOGYs FW has ever seen in his life…Heck we dont need Ohman or anybody like him…This LOOGYs are World Series material…WREN geeeesshhhhhh
April 12th, 20093:59 pm
Well Bennett is yet to give up an earned run, came in today and held the lead. Did give up an inherited run on what I believe was a ground ball single. Gave us 2 innings when we really needed it. Is that enough? Take your turnip truck out of town.
Why use O’Flaherty as anything other than a LOOGY? It’s just absurd. Can’t blame him for being unable to do a job he has no business doing.
NOT BOYER!!! NOOOTTTTT BOYER!!!!!! AND NO FIRST PITCH STRIKE!!!
April 12th, 20094:00 pm
In comes Buddy. Looks like Bobby may be taking my advice and using Boyer for only mop up duties. I highly doubt he’s saving him to close the game. One of those guys who worked the past two games may have to go again. They do have the day off tomorrow.
And by the way Jeffo, I don’t feel qualified to be able to determine who “obviously belongs on the roster” and who doesn’t.
Whats wrong with this team and a sweep!!!!
wow ump missed that strike call
April 12th, 20094:01 pm
this bullpen is disgusting
Rob from SC
April 12th, 20094:02 pm
good wheels from the kid
what range by the youngster
Nice catch Jordan!
Wow, Schafer should’ve made that play smoother. Get him out of the game.
Schafer with a good catch.
Way to use the speed Jordan!
We will see Boyer today for sure. Bobby just trying to give him a good enough lead and no-one on base.
Schafer !!! Just saved another BLOWN SAVEEEEE …..”Bullpen Delenda Est”
April 12th, 20094:03 pm
Wayne in Utah: I Love Red. Yea, a Red head Lady….
I don’t know what to say about this pen
Can our bullpen keep any inherited runners from scoring? Man, this is getting really tiresome!
April 12th, 20094:04 pm
bad feeling here, hope I am wrong
These nats are pesky. I expected that though since they are winless.
well this is asking for trouble now with dunn up
Da Cracka Smacka
I’m gonna hate seeing Dunn in 15 more games this season.
Wayne in Utah
April 12th, 20094:05 pm
Your in way too deep. You, my friend have a condition known as a rectal cranial inversion. You require a John Deere solution.
Take Bennett out, bring Carlyle in… damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
lOOKS LIKE A LOT OF GUYS WEARING MOUTH PIECES NOW.
Bullpen Delenda Est…
There you go Buddy.
great job Buddy, Cox let him pitch the 9th
Meanwhile – Chan Ho Park has thrown 73 pitches in two innings and given up 5 runs. Some pitching depth behind Hamels.
Everyone…. we’re still winning this game. Calm down.
what a ballsey pitch by buddy to challenge the big guy and get the k
Nate from NCState
Long season guys.. better pace yourselves..
April 12th, 20094:06 pm
Gutsty performance, Buddy C!
Good job Buddy!
This bullpen is something else, this problem isnt going away anytime soon. Wren and Bobby need to do something soon.
April 12th, 20094:07 pm
By the way, I still believe in Blaine Boyer. However, I realize I might be the only one left
Caryle will have one more inning in him.
I believe in Boyer. He’s got good stuff. Just needs to get his act together mentally.
April 12th, 20094:08 pm
brvs1fan Ha, are you going to explain why Boyer should be on the team? Or does that mean you’re now abandoning him?
>And by the way Jeffo, I don’t feel qualified to be able to determine who “obviously belongs on the roster” and who doesn’t.
Well, I’ve been watching since 1982 and am a very good judge of talent! With that said, of course its just my opinion.
I’d let Boyer close this game.
That’s a scary pitch to throw done the middle of the plate to Dunn, props to Buddy, nice job.
The Nats are so bad that even Boyer could find redemption against them.
April 12th, 20094:09 pm
I’d let Boyer close this game out too!!!
Schafer needs a hit.. let’s go kid.
The scary part of the Nationals batting order is gone. Doesn’t really matter whether its Boyer or Buddy in the 9th now.
Mr. Heyward struggling to begin the season.
Have you guys seen me?
April 12th, 20094:10 pm
The pitching staff collectively needs to throw more strikes and cut down on the walks.
Love playing the Nationals… lol.
One more time?
The Nats stink.
2 triples…where the haters at?
2 triples for francoeur:)
Rob from SC, nope you’re not the only one. I just hope he’s not hurt again.
April 12th, 20094:11 pm
Sun triple for Francoeur — two triples in one day for him, then.
Austin Kearns has looked completely lost out there in RF all day.
big run there
casey with first rbi
Right here. Francoeur stinks.
Boyer’s going to pitch the 9th. The pitcher’s spot is due up, and there’s no way Carlyle bats.
April 12th, 20094:12 pm
There’s that run back. Thank you very much.
dvillebravesgrl aka brvsgrl4life
Frenchie rocks! Kotchman hits for another run. Keeping it exciting to say the least.
BOyer pitched to 2 batters, give him a chance before people bash him
nice one handed catch by the fan while holding a drink
Damn, nice catch.
April 12th, 20094:13 pm
fan made a great play,
Frenchy two triples, the kid has some speed!
Talk abot fingertips. Great catch by the fan.
Wayne in Utah- Please don’t ever use “rectal” again. Unless of course you’d like to give me an exam — big boy.
Schafer didn’t like that strike call… so he punished the ump.
foul language from Schafer
not good day at plate for jordan
Bad language there, Jordan.
I hear Bulls on Parade… must be Kelly Johnson
April 12th, 20094:14 pm
i like his attitude
Damn what a catch by Dukes there. I think he just got lucky lol
April 12th, 20094:15 pm
Dukes looked like he lost it in the sun there for a second. Oh well. Lets close this thing out.
Reid in EAV
Third K for Schafer! Blog curse!
Let Buddy pitch. Still JJ’s lead?
April 12th, 20094:16 pm
Buddy’s out. They pinch hit for him.
Boone not so good day comes in for morton and gives up 2 runs in one inning
April 12th, 20094:17 pm
wow, Soriano to close.
Soriano in? Sweet.
Someone tell Phil Mickelson its hard to play golf with your hands around your throat choking.
Thankyou Bobby. I was hoping you would go with one of the two and I figured it would be Soriano since Gonzalez has thrown so many pitches.
April 12th, 20094:18 pm
One down. Looking sharp.
