We get drilled next inning. Who’s up?

slugger—- you don’t have to tell your story… they can not come through the computer and slap you,lol
Joe just made a fairly comical joke.
Steve from OH: Regarding your 5:35 p.m. comment. Outfielders will tell you exactly that problem arises when they first get to the majors, guys who’ve never played in anything other than minor league ballparks and spring-training parks.
Listen, there’s no concern about his defense among the Braves or anyone who’s seen Schafer play for any significant stretch. He can flat-out play strong defense. That’s not an issue.
April 8th, 20095:47 pm
Not going to argue anymore, you get a little too defensive. I’m sure the bloggers here could go through thousands of scouting reports and find thousands of innacurate or wrong statements about propsects to refute your assumption that scouts are right because you found something that agrees with your argument.
So, can it be settled that Jordan has elite CF potential and all the tools to realize that potential?
Rob from SC

DOB this is exactly what I said at the end of my ORIGINAL comment.
Maybe he’s just taking some time to adjust to the parks.
April 8th, 20095:48 pm
dang can we get 2 outs?
Game is far from over, unfortunately.
April 8th, 20095:49 pm
Why are we playing situation and matchups with a 7 run lead? Just put Campillo or Buddy in to get the last 9 outs!
Somehow, some way, we’ll end up using Soriano and Gonzalez again.
I won’t be nervous about a 6 run lead, I won’t be nervous about a 6 run lead….
Are Phils scoring? What’s going on?

Actually DOB, thanks for support my original argument with your post.
I think we all get that Jordan’s good in CF.
Time will tell if he is elite, but he sure has the potential.
Oh, great matt only good for one thing stairs.
I won’t get nervous about a 5 run lead…?
April 8th, 20095:50 pm
get Moylan out if he can’t get Stairs
10-5 Adiron, moylan gave up 2 hits, bases are still loaded.
April 8th, 20095:51 pm
Huge a$2 old man Stairs is up.
Can we please not give this game away?
Yikes, this is getting sporty with Peter
what is he a trash man now
Phillies fan love to boo at nothing
I’m ordering up a double play. Anybody else want one?
Well, I’m both. I’m already starting to get my roommates hooked on him, too!
Walked in a run, gotta be kidding me, pull him out.
It’s getting ugly up in here
April 8th, 20095:52 pm
Wow, he looks awful. Get him out Bobby
did Pete suddenly forget where the strike zone is?
Oh no, it’s the GOO!
I will be slightly nervous with a 4 run lead…..
ugh. yank him!
This is starting to get uncomfortable…Come on Bullpen!!
moylan doesnt have it today, fo’sho
Get Moylan out of there!
All of a sudden, I’m feeling indigestion like from a bad Philly Cheesesteak!!
April 8th, 20095:53 pm
Oh no, the bullpen is a disaster! Not again…
This is not looking good folks.
Well, on the bright side, I think they’re down to Eric Bruntlett off the bench…
Blaine better keep the ball down or its tied! That 90+ mph fastball was taken out of the park alot last year!
April 8th, 20095:54 pm
slugger— u still here?
Oh, Chris Coste…
No lead is ever safe in this ballpark
What’s the score and situation?
Today’s the 11th month anniversary of Moylan’s TJ surgery, by the way.
Good luck Blaine!
Did you see my original post when you talked about parks…that’s what I was talking about.
I stated “They did say he worked really hard this spring on his fielding every day, so hopefully he’s just getting used to the 2nd and 3rd level of seats (major adjustment) behind home plate and down the 1st/3rd baselines on all the stadiums now that he’s playing in.”
The goo throwing balls.
It’s like a race to see who runs out of players first

No lead is safe.
DOB: One of the big questions of Spring Training was how well McCain and the new pitchers would be able to get used to each other. What comments have the pitchers made so far about pitching to McCain and how well do they like how he calls a ball game. It has looked pretty good so far to me. Thanks
April 8th, 20095:55 pm
Bad anniversary…Let’s hope he does better next time!
RC_ slightly? its only one swing away!
Roman Gal_ Great move. Braves will control the TV
Can the umpire close his eyes again and start calling these pitches strikes?
Bruised thumb today, Next week it will be a fever blister on his Butt. We need a real man to step up at 3rd. I am getting tired of the little pansy injuries sidelining this wimp.
As Buck next door would say, “that magic number’s get’n littler and littler every day.”
Hello? What is happening? Can anyone find the strike zone?
OMG ,. he is choking like last year
OMG OMG OMG
I’m not defensive. I’m attacking your principle that because I don’t personally know scouts my argument isn’t valid. That’s the opposite of defensive. That’d be offensive.
The GOO and Braves’ big lead = EPIC FAIL
Like 2008 all over again
Peter needs to go to Triple to continue to get his stuff back.
April 8th, 20095:56 pm
God. This is pathetic.
DOB, any chance the Braves sign Ohman?
JV deserves better than this!! Come ON
get Soriano up
I can’t believe this.
BOOOOOOOO for Blaine Boyer the chairman of the give it up boys!
Make them earn it for crying out loud
I can hear Bobby now… The BUll Pen is overorked. Our starters need to go deeper in the game. BS We still have a third rate bull pen and a wannabe closer! Lowe takes a shutout 8 innings and we turn it over to the bullpen. Vasquez gives the bull pen a 10 – 3 lead and……..

whatever. is he injury prone? yes. does he hit for >.300 with power? yes. suck it up and take the good with the bad.
Steve from OH
Slugger, I didn’t. I don’t have time to do much more than skim posts. Sorry. Didn’t mean to steal your idea (not that I did, but)….
Moylan looked bad, now Boyer looks worse. Geez guys, throw a strike.
Wow, the ump has to be blind. Gamecast put pitch 3 and 5 right in the strike zone.
Can yall say whats going on instead of oooooohing and ahhhhing?
No one can throw strikes, looks like he was better off leaving O’flaherty in.
April 8th, 20095:57 pm
can SOMEBODY THROW A F*CKING STRIKE???
are you KIDDING me? ANOTHER walked in run?
Braves went to spring training thinking bullpen, if Moylan and Soriano were healthy, might be their second-biggest strength (after rotation). Turns out it could be their biggest weakness.
As Braves fans, we ought to be used to this by now.
THROW A STRIKE BLAINE BOYER OR ILL HAVE YOUR THROAT.
Are you serious? What is going on?
Oh wow. All that good feelings going away because a couple of guys cant throw strikes.
OMG this would be a defeat you can’t bounce back from
BOO THE GOO
1st and 3rd pitches were strikes….this is terrible….
4 walks and a hit batsman 10-8.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
