Glad we are back to Braves baseball by walking in 4 runs. But hey remember what the cool thing to do is when things go bad; blame it on Francoeur. So let me hear it…
Don’t blame the ump for this crap excuse for a bull pen! The same ump is calling balls and strikes for both teams and the Phils aren’t walking in 6 runs!
We are overreacting to that last inning. It almost like a fluke that that could happen. There is no way our guys will do that ever again. Its a one time thing.
You stupid F***king moron. How would you react if your bullpen did that. That was some of the worst baseball I’ve ever seen. Where were you earlier today and and the past few days you f***king loser? You are worthless and no one would care if you died.
SOS, what the hell does Bobby Cox have to do with that? What was he supposed to do, go out and pitch himself? Even though he probably could have put some pitches over the plate. Nothing he could do.
I’m stunned. I’m still in disbelief over the heinous relief pitching in that bottom of the seventh inning. Blaine Boyer face two batters with bases loaded, threw nine pitches/eight balls, walked in two runs.
This bullpen will never be good Moylan has never been able to throw strikes Soriano throws straight as an arrow and Gonzalez is a set up man at best. And on another note is it me or does Chipper seem to always miss 1 game ever big division series the last 2 years.
Well, I hope the boys take this opportunity O’Flaherty, Moylan, Blow-yer, and Campillo have created to hand Lidge his first blown save of the year. Good grief, that was pathetic!
It was a fluke. You don’t make it to the major leagues if you can’t throw a strike. But wow, to have every single person they brought in just not even come close. Amazing… Still disheartening.
Can we just call this game and go home? Even if we win… it’s not a very fulfilling one.
Totally unbelievable!!! Per fangraphs, the Braves had a 99% chance of winning the game going into the bottom of the 7th. Moylan, Campillo and Boyer should be shot!!!! I know it is just one game but to just piss it away is sickening!!!
A game like this is exactly why Cox needs to put Boyer in on Friday, to restore his confidence. And after Boyer once again sucks, Boyer himself will do us all a favor and retire.
campillo, I can not believe this . It is not the ump. Except for about 2 pitches, these aren’t close. And that is what happens when you get behind, a 2B
Moylan just didn’t look ready today and you expect games like that when bouncin back from Tommy John, but Boyer in his first outing didn’t even come close to the strike zone. The guy is afraid. I don’t hate him but i’m tired of seeing him. Say what you want about Gonzo being wild or Soriano being hurt a lot. At least when they take the mound they’re not intimidated. Boyer just doesn’t have that intangible.
10 walks in the game so far. Interesting strategy ATL is employing. Make them go complacent, and then eventually they won’t swing at anything at all… And then a double, there goes my theory.
let’s trade in pitful bullpen pitchers that pitched today for the G-Braves starters. They prolly could do much better than what was occurring in the late innings.
The Phils bring in their closer now, and the Braves have reverted back to what they were last season, all in one inning!!
Is a long like this akin to KJ dropping the pop-up last year? That play turned the Braves entire season around…let’s hope this game doesn’t do like wise.
One thing for sure, the bullpen will need to gather some confidence from some where.
DOB, please ask Bobby what his rationale was for bringing in O’Mygosh (O’Flaherty), instead of his long relief guy, and getting this game over.
Schafer’s Wafers — no, they’re not even close. It’s not like they’re borderline pitches and the ump has been squeezing Braves relievers, nothing like that at all. They’re all over the place — high, low, outside, etc.
Well, here’s Bennett. Between him and Boyer, we lost 13 games last season. Throw in Acosta and that was 18. We would have been in the post season without those losses. Wonder if he learned anything over the winter?
UNREALLL. 3 pitchers to blame.. and then the manager. what a joke.. JAVIER VASQUEZ SHOULD BE PISSED.. 5 walks way to go campillo moylan and BOYER. cox is married to this guy he is awful .. he threw 1 strike.. right now i am pissed.
