The Braves have received permission from MLB to have an On-Field doctor assigned to Cripper Jones . The doctor will be stationed just outside the 3rd-base line when Cripper is in the field and just outside the batters box when Cripper is at bat .

This is the first time in MLB history that such an arrangement has been necessary . The Braves announced that the doctor’s salary will be covered by MediCare because, while Cripper is not 65 , his body is .

GM, or maybe just show a little confidence in your bench players when a starter is banged up. I might agree if this was a playoff game, but at this juncture, give Infante and/or Prado a chance (and some respect) in these situations. That’s what you pay them for.
