TheManMike, it doesn’t offend me in the least. I wasn’t there. I just think there’s something a little inappropriate about calling an Asian pitcher a nickname that sounds identical to a memorable battle from the Vietnam War. Seems easier to just call him Kenshin, or KK.

So that’s GARRET (not Josh) Anderson in Center?? Wow. Well, that sort of makes sense. Since the Braves will only carry 4 outfielders, Garret is probably your backup Center-fielder. BC probably wants to get a look at him there.
The fact that he’s hitting leadoff might be an indication, not of where he will hit, but where the starting Center-fielder will bat in this lineup.

While I was away, Norton and Chipper both went deep. Us two Americans waited for a crowd of 30 — yes, 30 — Japanese media to finish interviewing and shooting photos of Kawakami.
He felt good, but said his cutter still needs work and he’s not broken out his forktball yet. Mostly fastballs today, and a few good curves and cutters.

There was nothing I would consider in terribly poor taste. However, there doesn’t seem to be ANY kind of filter on this new format, and it’s easy to get carried away in the heat of a moment. And, for the record, I’ve been guilty of some (disguised) blue language on here myself. I doubt that changing a few consonants or adding some asterisks actually disguises the intent or puzzles anyone over 12, but, still…
