I think we’re going to see a better 1st baseman in Kotchman than we saw in Tex. He seems to have a little more range. Tex was the best at digging out bad throws, and I haven’t seen enough of Kotchman on that, but I’m sure he’s as good.
I have a question, if the braves are really highly excited about these new “baby braves” how come we are not bringing them all up from the minors this year? Why does hanson have to go back to AAA? or Shafer to AA? We see to be all high and mighty on these new players YET we keep them in the minors?
Daniel – OK I’ll post slower. You likened the Mets September swoon to the recession. So I likened the Braves not being in the pennant race last year to not being in the economy. Now do you get it?
That’s not CORKY MILLER!!!!! So BRAVES fans. are we pleased with the new BUC? I sure am. Noticed it was one of the BRAVES’ first moves in the off-season too. Glad FW was listening to my advice.
Hits Miguel Tejada in left hip/butt with a 95-mph fastball on 1-0 pitch
Two on, none out, David Newhan up
Gets ahead 0-2 against him with two fastballs, second one fouled back (all fastballs so far in the inning, and now Ross is out to chat real quickly, then jogs back)
Another fastball for ball 1 (10 straight fastballs to start things now)
WOW. I validate every comment you have made about Hanson. The ESPN guys are raving about him just as much as I am admiring his stuff. I cannot wait for him to break into the bigs. Im sitting here waiting for next class and I am just amazed.
At least we know Hanson has more guts than Boyer. Taking up for Escobar there. Man, the ball really does jump out of his hand. Gives up a run, but no biggie.
