Nabisco, Pepsi, Purina: Family Dollar stores have Nabisco cookies (10.4-ounce packages) on sale for $2. Use the 75-cents-off-two coupon from the Jan. 6 SmartSource circular to pay $1.63 each. Use the in-ad coupons to get two-liter Coke products on sale for $1 each, Pepsi product 12-packs for $3.33 each, or Doritos 11- to 14-ounce bags for $2.50 each. Purina Friskies cat treats (2.1-ounce bags) are on sale for $1.25. Use the $1-off -two coupon from the Dec. 2 RedPlum circular to pay 75 cents each.

Start year right

Chicken, fruits and vegetables, milk: Kroger has some great deals to get this year off to a healthy start. Perdue boneless chicken breasts are on sale “buy one, get one free,” broccoli crowns are $1 per pound, cantaloupes are $1.98 each, mini peeled carrots are $1 for the one-pound bag, Kroger gallon milk is $2.50 each.

General Mills: Kroger has a promotion that gives you a free gallon of milk or a free half gallon of organic milk when you buy four participating General Mills items. Included in the promotion are selected varieties of General Mills cereals. Use the $1-off-three coupon from the Jan. 6 SmartSource circular or the $1-off-two coupon from the Dec. 9 SmartSource circular to pay $1.50-$1.67 per box.

KMART

Angel soft: Kmart has Angel Soft bath tissue (12 double or 24 single rolls) on sale for $4.97. Use the 45-cent coupon from the Jan. 6 RedPlum circular to pay $4.07 after the coupon is doubled.

Kellogg’s, Pop Tarts: Kmart has selected varieties of Kellogg’s cereals and Pop Tarts on sale for $2. Use the $1-off-two cereal coupon from the Dec. 9 RedPlum circular to pay $1.50 each for the cereals, or $1 per box once the coupon is doubled.

Had the chicken breast (perdue) on my shopping list for Kroger, but bogo is NO bargain when the prices is upped to $4.99/lb. Glad I waited for Tyson chicken this week at $1.99/lb. NOW I’ll stock up.
