Coupon Mom: How to stretch those P&G coupons

Don’t miss the Procter & Gamble coupon circular that came out in the AJC last Sunday with $85 in coupons. Combine these coupons with Procter & Gamble sales and promotions at many stores this week. For example, Kmart has a promotion that gives you a $10 reward coupon when you spend $30 on participating P&G products. If you shop at a Kmart store that doubles coupons, you’ll save even more. Check with your store to learn more about its specific coupon policy.

Binders, folders, storage: Take advantage of $153 of organizational items that are free after rewards at Staples this week. You’ll pay full price at the register, but you’ll get 100 percent of the price back in your Staples Rewards account, which works like store credit and is paid out quarterly. Items that are free after rewards are Avery heavy-duty view binders ($8.49-$32.99 each, limit four), Staples economy storage cardboard boxes (10 per pack at $15.49 each, limit two), Staples heavy-weight manila letter-size file folders (50 per box at $9.19 each, limit two), Staples letter/legal size plastic storage totes ($13.99 each, limit two) and a Staples 2013 desk pad calendar ( $5 each, limit two). If you were to get the maximum amount of free items per person, the total value would be $153 in free supplies. Also find a coupon for $5 off a $25 order on the front page of the Staples store ad. Staples also has a promotion that gives you $2 off instantly on the purchase of a new binder when you bring in an old binder to recycle.

Kellogg’s: Selected Kellogg’scereals, such as Special K and Smart Start, are on sale at Walgreens for $2.50 each when you buy two boxes. If you buy four, you will get 1,000 Balance Reward points to make your net cost $2.25 each. Use two of the $1-off-two coupons from the Dec. 9 RedPlum circular to bring your cost to $1.75 per box. To help turn that cereal into breakfast, Walgreens also has 1-gallon milk on sale for $2.99.

Cover Girl products: Find a “buy one, get one 50 percent off” sale on Cover Girl products at Kmart, Rite Aid and Walgreens.  Combine that promotion with the coupon for $3 off two Cover Girl items in the Dec. 30 Procter & Gamble circular.

The full Coupon Mom column appears Thursdays in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Deal Spotter section. It’s full of great local deals and exclusive offers. Visit the Coupon Mom website for more great finds.

It is not easy to find a Kmart. They have closed the ones that were within 30 miles of me or so.

Proctor and Gamble murders and tortures over 50,000 innocent animals every year in completely unnecessary animal “safety” tests that virtually EVERY one of their competitors have either eliminated or substituted with cruelty-free alternative tests. In this day and age of computer models, tissue cultures, and other superior methods, P&G continues to inflict untold cruelty on animals just so you can have shiny hair, etc.

If every one of their competitors can do it, why can’t they?

Make your money count. Participate in the on-going boycott of P&G products. Show your power as a consumer. Show your kids that you care about animals. Show P&G that you care about animals and their welfare.

I did not get any coupon inserts in my Sunday AJC. I called AJC customer service and was adviced that there were not coupon inserts in Sunday’s paper. December 30, 2012

Another great way to save money is through this new Ibotta App on smartphones. For instance, you save $1.25 extra on the Kelloggs cereal. Lots of great offers. So far in a few days, I’ve saved over $15 plus you get $5 free after your deal. If you want to try it, here’s the link. http://ibotta.com/r/FxhA

@Jenn I’m not sure where you live, but coupons are distributed according to ZIP codes and some coupons and inserts may not be available in all areas and in each edition of the AJC. The P&G insert did run in the Dec. 30 edition, but it may not have been distributed in your zone.

As per my personal experience the P&G coupons and voucher codes is one of the cheap and best deals ever in the world, so we shouldn’t delay to buy this deal.
