Cyber Monday Update: Share your finds

The thing about Cyber Monday is that there is NO instant gratification.

Unlike the many people who shopped the early sales on Gray Thursday and were home before 10 p.m. watching their favorite shows on a new HDTV, you will just have to wait for your Cyber Monday purchases to arrive at your door.

However, please feel free to share your finds and send a picture or two today! — Facebook | Twitter | Email

Cyber Monday: The Glitches

No massive shopping venture ever seems to go off without a hitch — not even virtual shopping. A few reported shopping challenges this Cyber Monday were sent my way via Twitter:

@katiebravesfan reports: “Barnes and Nobles website! Was sloooooow as could be this morning!”

@greenbeans612 says: “Creative Loafing’s Loaf Deals. Bought 1 with $7 discount, was charged for 2 at full price. Site crashed a bunch of times.”

I had my own interesting experience on Kohls.com. Couldn’t search anything without getting the “We’re sorry for the delay page.” Fortunately, I figured out a way around it and managed to get my suede boots for $6. Score!

What challenges are you having while shopping on Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday: Add some culture to your shopping cart

Oh Cyber Monday, my head is spinning.

If you thought Cyber Monday was all about electronics and merchandise, it is — but as these recent additions would indicate, it also offers so much more.

Here are a few Cyber Monday theater deals. If you spot others, let me know:

Cirque du Soleil – Get $25 off select tickets to Totem for Cyber Monday.

Georgia Ballet – Use the code “cyber” to get $5 off your ticket to Georgia Ballet’s performance of the Nutcracker Nov. 30 – Dec. 3 at Cobb Civic Center.

Cyber Monday: Support local businesses

Didn’t make it out on Small Business Saturday? Don’t despair! Cyber Monday brings more opportunities to save while also supporting metro-area businesses online!

Here are a few of the locally owned/operated companies advertising Cyber Monday deals:

Cinda B – Cinda B handbags, an Atlanta favorite, is offering 35 percent off sitewide (with some exclusions) and free ground shipping.

Half Baked – Get 15 percent off these freshly made oven-ready casseroles. Place your order and a representative will contact you. Orders must be picked up by Nov. 30.

Cyber Monday: The 50 Percenters

By now you’re fully engaged in (or finished with! ) your Cyber Monday shopping.

It seems every bit and byte in cyberspace is lit up with a “sale” sign — my inbox is bursting with 20 – 40 percent off offers. A few retailers are offering 50 percent off. Here are some of them — most sales are today only, some require a code and most offer free shipping:

C. Wonder – 50 percent off of sale items and free shipping. Quantities and sizes are very limited and a few months ago when I attempted to order items from a similar sale — I got an email telling me my order was cancelled because one or more items was out of stock. Soooo, yeah…

Half- Off Depot - Get 51 percent off everything on this deal site which is touting Cyber Monday as their biggest one-day sale ever.

The Limited – 50 percent off original ticket prices in-store and online. This includes new arrivals online only.

Loft – 50 percent off everything online including sale and clearance items, today only. Some items are marked as final sale.

Perry Ellis – 50 percent off your purchase with some restrictions plus free shipping and a free iPad case on orders $100 or more.

ShopEcko – 50 percent off everything and free shipping sitewide.

Talbots – Get 50 percent off one full-priced item with no minimum required for free shipping.

What other 50 percent off deals are out there?
