Veterans Day deals

So many businesses are honoring our nation’s veterans and members of the active duty military (and in some cases their families) for Veteran’s Day this year.

Here are a few of the deals out there. Most of the offers require a valid form of identification, so be prepared and spread the word!

Attractions

Georgia Aquarium: Nov. 10-17, the Aquarium will offer 20 percent off general admission tickets for active and retired military personnel, veterans and their families.

The U.S. National Park Service : Fees for national parks are waived on Nov. 10 – Nov. 12., which means you can visit Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area free of charge.

World of Coca-Cola: Active duty, reserve and retired members of the armed forces  receive complimentary admission at the World of Coca-Cola year-round, but on Nov. 10-18 they can purchase up to four tickets at 50 percent off for their friends and family. They also get a 10 percent discount at The Coca-Cola Store there.

Dining/meals

Applebee’s : Vets and active duty military can choose a free entree from a select menu of items on Sunday.

California Pizza Kitchen: Free pizza and non-alcoholic drink for Veterans and active duty military Sunday or Monday with valid ID.

Concentrics Restaurants: On Monday, all of Concentrics Restaurant locations will offer complimentary entrees to all military personnel with a valid military ID. Participating restaurants include: ONE. midtown kitchen, TWO urban licks, TAP, The Spence, Murphy’s, LPC, Lobby Bar and Bistro, ROOM at Twelve, FLIP – Howell Mill, FLIP – Buckhead and HD1.

Hooters: Veterans and active duty military get 10 free boneless wings with purchase of a drink.

Krispy Kreme: Krispy Kreme honors veterans and active military personnel with a free coffee and doughnut for Veterans Day at metro area Krispy Kreme locations. No purchase necessary but you must be in uniform or present a valid military ID.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Complimentary Texas Tonion and non-alcoholic beverage with valid ID.

Olive Garden: Complimentary dinner entrée from a special menu featuring five unique dishes available on Sunday with proof of military service.

Outback Steakhouse : A free Bloomin Onion and beverage with valid ID on Sunday or Monday. Also get 10 percent off the entire check beginning Nov. 13 – Dec. 31.

Red Lobster: Complimentary appetizer from ten available options.

Wingstop: Free meal for active and retired military Sunday at Wingstop in Kennesaw, 1133 Chastain Rd. NW Ste. 300. Show a military ID and get a 3-piece boneless strip combo or a six boneless wing combo free from 11 a.m. to midnight. For more information call 770-428-9464.

California Dreaming in Duluth is also honoring veterans on Monday. I believe it is a free entree for the veteran and 50% of an entree for their friend/family.
