These are the final days of Kroger’s Mega Promotion, which ends Saturday. When you buy 10 participating items, you automatically get $5 off your bill. Kraft has a Catalina promotion running at the same time, which gives you a coupon off your next order when you buy participating items. When you combine the two promotions at Kroger, you’ll hit the savings jackpot. For example, Kraft American cheese singles (12 ounce) are $1.49 after the mega promotion savings. If you buy 10 Kraft items, you’ll get a coupon for $10 off a future order, so your net cost will be 49 cents per package if you get 10 Kraft items. Some Kroger stores have a coupon box on the shelf with $1 off two coupons, which would make the cost of the cheese zero.

Lunchtime savings: Another Kroger Mega Promotion and Kraft Catalina combination deal includes Kraft Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip at a net cost of 49 cents (down from $4.49) using the 50-cent coupon from the Aug. 19 SmartSource circular, Oscar Mayer bologna 16 oz. at 68 cents without a coupon, and Velveeta Shells & Cheese dinner for $1.09 without a coupon. Prices may vary slightly by Kroger location.

Kraft Catalina promotion also ends Saturday: Items included are Crystal Light, Gevalia coffee, Kraft Deluxe Mac and Cheese dinner, Kraft salad dressings, Kraft shredded cheese, Kraft singles (12 ounces and up), Maxwell House coffee, Kraft mayo or Miracle Whip, MiO, Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh, Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, Oscar Mayer Lunchables (4.8 ounce and up), Oscar Mayer bologna, Oscar Mayer completes (11.4 ounce and up), Planters peanuts and more. When you purchase any Kraft items, you will get a Catalina coupon print out with specific items and sizes as well.

Walgreens

Kleenex: Walgreens has Kleenex Facial tissue 4 pack boxes 50 sheets each on sale for $4. Pair the $1 store coupon from the Walgreens coupon booklet with the 50-cent coupon from the Aug. 12 SmartSource circular to pay $2.50, which is only 63 cents per box.

Glade: Walgreens has Glade products on sale with a $1 Register Reward offer on two. Combine this deal with Glade coupons to save more. For example, Glade jar candles are on sale for $2.50 each. Use the $2-off-two coupon from the Aug. 26 SmartSource circular to pay $1.50 each at the register. You will get a $1 Register Reward coupon, so your net cost will be $1 each.

Ivory: Walgreens has Ivory bar soap three-packs on sale for 99 cents. Use the 30-cent coupon from the Aug. 26 Procter & Gamble circular to pay 69 cents.

Infusium 23: Walgreens has Infusium 23 hair care (16 ounce) on sale for $4.99. Use the $1 coupon from the Sept. 9 SmartSource circular to pay $3.99 at the register. You will get a $3 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be 99 cents.

Savings tip: A friendly shake (and steak)

Take a friend out for a free milkshake at Steak ‘n Shake. Use the “buy one, get one free” milkshake coupon from the Sept. 9 SmartSource circular. Also find coupons for discounted Steak ‘n Shake meals and sides. There is no coupon required for the “Kids Eat Free All Weekend” offer (with the purchase of adult meals) and “Half Price Happy Hour” with half-price shakes and other beverages 2-4 p.m. weekdays.
