Store flyer guides you to coupons

Look for the “Sizzling Savings” flyer in Publix to save with store coupons. If there is a manufacturer’s coupon available for the same item, you can use both coupons on one product. For example, the flyer has a coupon for $2 off any two Scrubbing Bubbles products. Combine that coupon with a variety of Scrubbing Bubble item coupons found in the Aug. 26 and July 29 SmartSource circulars.

Also find a coupon for $1 off any Glade Plugins scented oil refill in the Publix flyer, and combine that with a $1 manufacturer’s coupon in the Aug. 26 SmartSource circular. Search Coupon Mom’s coupon database for more matches.

Fresh air, fresh breath

At CVS, get $4 in Extrabucks rewards when you spend $12 on participating Glade products. For example, get three of the Glade scented oil plugins refill (two-count package) at $4 each. Use three of the $1 coupons from the Aug. 26 SmartSource circular to pay $9 at the register. You will get the $4 Extrabucks reward, so your net cost will be $5 or $1.67 each, a 58 percent savings.

At Walgreens, get Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash (33.8 ounce) or rinse (16 ounce) on sale for $3.99. Use the 50-cent coupon from the Aug. 26 P&G circular to pay $3.49 at the register. You will get a $3 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be 49 cents.

Deodorant

Target has Gillette Clinical Strength deodorant on sale for $7.49 each. Use two of the $1 coupons from the Aug. 26 Procter & Gamble circular to pay $6.49 each at the register, and you will get a $5 Target gift card when you buy two. Your net cost will be $3.99 each.

Walgreens has Mitchum or Lady Mitchum deodorant on sale for $3 each. Use the $1.50-off-two coupon from the Aug. 19 SmartSource circular to pay $2.25 each at the register. You will get a $4 Register Rewards coupon with two, so your net cost will be 25 cents each.

Snacks and soda

Walgreens has Chex Mix 5.5- or 8.75-ounce bags on sale for $1 when you buy three. Use the 50-cents-off-two coupon from the Aug. 5 General Mills circular to pay 83 cents each at the register. You will get a $1 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be 50 cents per bag.

Walgreens also has Nabisco Cookies or Crackers (3.8- to 8-ounce boxes) on sale for 99 cents. Use the coupon for 75 cents off two products from the Aug. 5 SmartSource circular on varieties larger than 4.05 ounces to pay only 62 cents each.

At Kmart, when you spend $20 on grocery, health or beauty products, you can get a free bag of Smart Sense Veggie Straws (11-ounce) snacks. You must be a Shop Your Way Rewards member to qualify.

Kmart has Coca -Cola 12-pack cans on sale for $3 each. CVS has Coca-Cola 12-pack cans on sale for $3.33 each. Target has both Coca-Cola and Pepsi 12-pack cans on sale for $4 each.
