Coupon Mom: Lots of back-to-school deals, so stock up

Every grocery store, drugstore, discount store and office supply store continues to have great deals on stationery and school supplies, so stock up for school, home and the office to last all year.

Be sure to check your store circulars for the best deals on items you need. Highlights include:

Pens, pencils and paper

Staples: Staples has Zebra retractable ballpoint pens (seven count) on sale for $4. You will get an Easy Rebate in your account for $4 at the register, so your net cost will be free. Staples also has Staples No. 2 yellow pencils (eight count) for 25 cents each (limit two), composition books (100 sheets) for 10 cents each with $5 minimum purchase, and Hammermill 8.5-inch by 11-inch copy paper (500 sheets) for $1 after Easy Rebate. Dry-erase marker two-packs are on sale for 50 cents (regularly $2.99) and Foray rollerball single pens are 50 cents each (regularly $1.99; limit 10). One-inch binders are $1 (regularly $1.99; limit three) and 12-pack mechanical pencils with comfort grip are $1 (regularly $6.49; limit three). When you buy $59 of HP ink, you will get a free 12-pack of Sharpie markers ($9.99 value; limit two per household).

Also save on lunch fixings, snacks and bottled water

Target: Back-to-school season brings great deals on school lunch supplies. Target has Market Pantry lunch meat (7- or 9-ounce packages) on sale for $2.50 (about $4.50 per pound). When you buy two tubs, you will get a free 1-pound bag of Green Giant baby carrots. When you buy 10 20-ounce bottles of SoBe Lifewater on sale for $1 each, you will get a free 8.75- to 11.5-ounce bag of Frito-Lay Baked chips (value $3.89).

Good n Natural: Don’t miss the coupon for a free bar of any flavor Good n Natural bar in the Aug. 5 RedPlum circular, good at any store that sells the product (up to $1.29).

Nice drinking water: Walgreens has Nice 24 pack drinking water (16.9-ounce bottles) on sale for $1.99, which is only 8 cents per bottle.
