Back to school: Walgreens has backpacks and tote bags on sale “buy one, get one free.” Regularly $10.99, buy new backpacks for $5.50 each when you get two. This is a great time of year to buy extra deals like these to donate to a local charity that provides backpacks and school supplies to clients.
Coke, Keebler and Kellogg’s: Coca-Cola 2-liter bottles are on sale for $1 at CVS, and are included in a promotion that gives you $5 Extra Bucks Rewards when you spend $15 on selected Kellogg’s cereals, Keebler cookies or Coke 2-liter bottles (limit five bottles). If you bought four boxes of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes cereal and used four of the 70-cent coupons for Frosted Flakes from the July 8 RedPlum circular, along with five bottles of Coke, your net cost after the $2.80 in coupons and $5 Extra Bucks would be $7.20 for all nine items, or only 80 cents each. You can find more Kellogg’s cereal coupons for $1 off three boxes in the June 3 or June 24 RedPlum circulars. You can also find more Kellogg’s cereal coupons in the July 8 RedPlum circular.
Hershey’s: Get a free package of Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates (.75 ounce) at CVS. Pay 67 cents at the register, and you will get a 67-cent Extra Bucks Reward — your net cost is free. Or get two Nestle Crunch Limited Edition Single bars (1.3 ounce) on sale two for $1.75. Use the coupon for 75 cents off two from the July 8 SmartSource circular to pay 50 cents each.
Purex, Ajax, Coca-Cola, Powerade: CVS has some great deals that do not require coupons at all. Purex detergent (25-33 loads) is on sale for $1.99, Ajax dish liquid (14 ounce) is 88 cents, and Coca-Cola 12-packs are on sale for $2.67 each. Powerade 32-ounce bottles are $1 each, and when you buy five you will get a $1 Extra Bucks Reward, so your net cost will be 80 cents per bottle.
