It’s true you vote with your dollar.
Spice Market’s recent promotion, which lowers its corkage fee from $15 to $1, has been extended through Aug. 31 due to positive customer feedback. (The original promotion was in honor of Tax Day and was available only through the month of April.)
Receive the corkage fee discount on up to four bottles of personal wine brought into the restaurant. Spice Market, W Atlanta-Midtown at 188 14th St., Atlanta. 404-724-2550.

For the benefit of a (former) whisky-swilling mad pilot…what the hell’s a corkage fee? Judging from the context above, it would appear that some/perhaps many choose to bring their personal hooch into their favorite eatery, thus incuring the “cost” of cork removal…am I right? Hells bells! Back in the dark ages, we would brownbag Mr James Beam and Jack Dan into the Enterpriser (remember that, young helo drivers of 60s Rucker days!?) restaurant. Hownhell we ever survived those days remains the big mystery of the century.
