Raise a glass to this unique drugstore deal

Robert Mondavi, Woodbridge, Clos Du Bois: Now here’s a first. You can get Robert Mondavi Private Selection Wine (750 ml) at Walgreens for $2.99 per bottle. On sale for $7.99, you’ll find a mail-in rebate for $5. Your net cost will be $2.99. Or get Woodbridge Wine or Clos Du Bois Chardonnay (750 ml-1.5 liter) on sale for $10.99 and use the $5 mail-in rebate to bring your cost down to $5.99. If you buy four or more 750 ml bottles of wine at Walgreens, you’ll get an extra 10 percent off.

Start your day right

Kellogg’s: Walgreens has select Kellogg’s Cereal (12- to 15-ounce varieties) on sale for $2.50 each when you buy two boxes. You will get a $2 Register Rewards coupon for your next purchase, so your net cost will be $1.50 per box. If Rice Krispies are included in the sale, you can use the $1-off-two coupon from the April 1 RedPlum circular to pay $1 per box.

Half off candy

Dove: Rite Aid has Dove chocolate Easter eggs (7.94- to 9.5-ounce bags) on sale for $2.99 each. Use the coupon for $1 off two from the March 18 RedPlum circular to pay $2.49 each at the register. You will get a $1 +UP reward for each bag (limit two), so your net cost will be $1.49 per bag.

Chew on this sandwich deal

Subway has a deal during April I learned about from the Sunday coupon circular. Buy any 6-inch sandwich before 9 a.m. and get a second 6-inch sandwich free, of equal or lesser price. Prices and participation may vary, and this cannot be combined with other offers, discounts cards or value meals.
