Jessica Shops: Kids’ consignment, Valentine’s gifts

Big deals for little ones

Tadpoles Kids’ Resale: Consignment shopping can be hit or miss, but Tadpoles Kids’ Resale is always a hit on my list. Find quality clothing, toys and furniture at great prices, and Jan. 28 marks the one-day-only Spring & Summer Sale, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Swap your kids’ outgrown winter gear and make some cash to use toward warmer-weather items. Great deals I’ve previously found at the store include a Kolcraft Walker ($20), Million Dollar Baby Chloe Cradle ($60), Eddie Bauer Stroller ($30) and racks of clothes from Gymboree, Gap, The Children’s Place and more (many still with tags). Take the kids — there’s a play area, too. Locations in Kennesaw, 425 Ernest Barrett Parkway (Town Center Plaza); and in Duluth, at 2255 Pleasant Hill Road (Pleasant Hill Square).

Smooth wrinkles

Spa Sydell: If you have been considering Botox, now is the time to take advantage of the Botox sale at Spa Sydell. Clients trying injectable services for the first time will receive 50 percent off Botox Cosmetic. The offer includes 15 units for $97 (regularly $195). Valid until Tuesday. Call 404-255-7727.

Make it personal

Amusing Treats: Try something new this year and send an edible, personalized Valentine’s Day gift. Amusing Treats specializes in personalized brownies and sugar cookies, and can put logos or photographs on treats. Mention JessicaShops.com and save 15 percent on all Valentine’s Day orders placed by Tuesday. Order online with promo code is VAL15 (place it in the comments/questions section at the bottom of the order page).

The full Jessica Shops column appears in the Deal Spotter section of the AJC on Thursdays. Visit the Jessica Shops website for more great finds.

Tadpoles is okay but Kennedy’s Closet is even better. They have a ton of great deals and the clothes are even cheaper than other stores, although still being in better condition. I have shopped there for about a year now.. They also have cute boutique clothing for those of you who like names like Naartjie, Lemon loves Lime and others.. Its on Shallowford Rd in Marietta..

I LOVE Rhubarb and Custard in Buckhead. I picked up two like-new halo sleep sacks for $6 at one sale (normally $20 each new!) and the quality and selection of their clothing is top-notch. They also have a fantastic section of maternity clothing. They’re my favorite kids consignment store in Atlanta!
