I guess you can afford to give out free french fries to millions of people when you’re the king.
Friday is free fries day at Burger King, and the restaurant is encouraging customers to try the new fries and give feedback on its Facebook page. And if you think about it, come back here and tell us what you think, too. No purchase necessary, one value-size fry per guest.

Not bad but didn’t like them as much as the “new & improved version” from a few years ago.
And I ordered a value-size last weekend. There were eight fries in the bag and half of them were short ones.
I know it’s only a buck but BK could put a few more in the bag.

I like them very much. A big improvement over what they used to make.

But it is Burger King……
That means you must wait 45 minutes for those free fries.

The new and improve fries are better but still taste like they’ve been cooked in onion ring grease. Burger King has the best burgers but those onion ring fries makes me do a U-turn sometimes.

Much better than their old fries. I go to BK for their fish sandwich, but used to skip the fries. Now, I order the fries, too.

I went to a Burger King the other day and was annoyed. First, they half-filled my large fries and then overfilled the ice in my large drink so that I barely had any coke in it. I may as well have order a small combo and saved the extra money. However, I will be there tomorrow for my free value size fries, but will NOT be ordering anything else. Fast-food places are sheisty! This is why people go one diets!

Hey BK: They’re nasty, oil-y, flavorless – just like the rest of your food. I agree with Robert; they need major help with customer service and treating the customer like they care about their business.

Every time BK has a special; it’s at participating stores only none of them are participating- the franchise stores should be called BurgerQueens

They’re ok. But clearly not better than the ones they replaced. I would rate them just a tad behind Wendy’s for the national/metro burger chains.
1. McDonald’s
2. Checkers
3. Wendy’s
4. Burger King
5. Hardee’s
6. Dairy Queen

I went to Burger King the other day and ordered the Whopper w/cheese combo. When I got home I looked in the bag and found a corndog with a bite taken out of it and an open bag of Funyuns. WTF?

I haven’t had fries now in about 2 years, but when i was on that kick Buger King fries were the “WORST”. Anything has to be an upgrade, wouldn’t you say.

Wendy’s new sea salt fries are better than the new BK fries. Chik-Fil-A waffle fries are better than the new BK fries. McDonald’s fries are better than the new BK fries. Church’s Chicken fries are better than the new BK fries.

To ATL_Native: Have you tried DQ and or Hardee’s fries lately? FAR superior to Wendy’s and the newest Burger King. Hardees also has the best onion rings in this group. Of course, no one’s can compare to the Varsity’s onion rings and fries…..

@Jax – Yep, I’ve had the Wendy’s. The sea salt is a HUGE plus. Haven’t done Hardee’s in a while. As for the onion rings, Varsity is the gold standard! I was just comparing the chains you can get almost anywhere. (Now I’m longing for some Varsity onion rings 400 miles away, lol)

Zaxby’s fries are by far the best…Crinkled, seasoned, and not greasy…plus the presentation when you receive your food is awesome.

They are ok but I like Zaxby’s way better! I hate it when a company has something good and then they think they feel the need to improve it. It’s just like movies. The original is great but then along comes version 1,2,3 etc. Just stop at the original!

How come none of the other fast food places change their fries anywhere near as often as Burger King? Oh yeah…because no one else HAS to. Silly me.

Burger King is NASTY.
All fast food is processed junk, but this stuff is the ultimate garbage!!
Example:
One Whopper (without cheese):
Total Fat 37g 57% US RDA
Saturated 12g 62% US RDA
Calories: 678
Calories from Fat: 336
No wonder there are so many Fat Diabetics everywhere, cause they eat this garbage! All these fast food places are killing Americans and draining/socializing our healthcare system, and as McDonald’s says, we are all “..lovin’ it..”!
