Target at Northlake – the line was long but moved fast and the store was unbelieveably organized – I will be there next year. The best bang for your buck and your time!

“People witnessed fighting over towels”
Has it come down to this?
People should be happy for joy the holiday brings. Not fighting over merchandise.

I guess there are no black Friday happenings below I-20. Thanks for nothing. Oh wait a minute, Tanger Outlet has the only Black Friday specials below I-20.

Would these early shoppers be the 99%’ers? You know, the folks with little to no wealth because the top 1% is hording it?

Actually the Wal-Mart in Alpharetta could also be the one just north of Milton on Hwy 9 in Forsyth County. That is considered an Alpharetta address.

Walmart in Peachtree City was allowing customers to pick up “electronics” doorbusters before 12, but when they got to the check-out before 12 the sale price would not ring up, so they stood there and held up the lines for everyone else.

Well, for all who say race plays a part in these fights over merchandise, etc., look at the footage from the Walmart in Ellijay. Not a black face in sight (less than 1% black community).
It should be against the law to have these sales with very limited numbers of product available–charge the stores with inciting a riot, and haul the managers and even the executives off to the pokey with the rioters!

they are probably 5-10% of the 99%’ers. There is no way the majority of Americans are standing in line on Thanksgiving night. The lack of impatience that Atlanta drivers have, leads me to believe they would not be able to handle standing in line for anything.

@ Travis Allen – The Wal Mart on Windward is in ALPHARETTA! You might want to fact check before correcting people:
Walmart Supercenter
5200 Windward Pkwy
Alpharetta, GA 30004

Wal-Mart desperately needs to revise how they manage their Black Friday shoppers. It was absolutely insane and I was only there for the 10PM sale, nog wanting to be bothered with the sheer madness of the electronics sale. It was my first time trying to shop Wal-Mart on Black Friday in about 10 years and will definitely be my last. It was crazy then and has gotten worse since. I don’t know why I thought it would have been better this year.

Really Travis, you’re that irked about the location of a walmart?? Please, leave this state and go back whereever it is you came from. And Lauren, c’mon I know you have friends that live south of the Northern Perimeter.

Just pointing out that nearly 5 years later, businesses are still saying they are in Alpharetta, not Milton…Scott, grab a map, I know the website says Alpharetta, if you visit, then check their occupancy license…issued by Milton.

Um Travis, there are 2 in the Milton/Alpharetta area. The one on Windward is Alpharetta. The one just up a bit further on Hwy 9 is Milton. By the way, the post office lists my address half the time as Alpharetta, half the time as Milton. So until they get it right, let’s not worry too much about a silly blog post, eh? I think people got the picture.

@ Lisa…not denying what is in the area, but you’re wrong…the one on Windward is in Milton as is everything else on that side of Windward Parkway between Hwy 9 and Deerfield Parkway, the one up Hwy 9 is in Forsyth County, but has an Alpharetta mailing address.
@ Andre, I’m born and raised in what is now Milton, so pretty sure that gives me a leg up
