Large families, rejoice! Pizzeria Venti is making it easy for you to go out once in awhile.
Pizzeria Venti is hosting a send-off dinner for the Atlanta firefighters who are biking to NYC to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and to raise money for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation. Come meet the firefighters Thursday evening and send them off with good wishes, and you’ll get the bottomless pasta special (bottomless pasta, salad and sodas for 4 people for $22).
Buy one in, take one out
Dine on one of the pasta dishes at Pizzeria Venti on Tuesdays and get another one to take home free. Choose from penne al pomodoro, ravioli quattro formaggi, gnocchi basilico, and handmade lasagna al forno. All pasta dinners come with fresh baked rolls and side of pomodoro sauce. Not valid with any other offer or coupons. Dine-in only, please. From 5 p.m. to close on Tuesdays. Take-out items are packaged and refrigerated-requiring re-heating.

I usually have no interest in seeing this blog but the writer’s happy-smile picture intrigued me. I’m glad to know that Davidson has a standing policy to boot any of the AJC’s “typical” commentators: racists and ig’n'ant folk. Kudos!
Carry on…

Please, no more CVS, Walgreen or Dollar Store “deal” nonsense. Stick to the place people spend their hard-earned money for the necessity of life, food. That’s right, the grocery store. You seldom get to the nitty-gritty of scouring Kroger, Publix, etc to show the uninformed how to save big bucks. My wife and I always chuckle when we see your weekly AJC newspaper “bargain” section touting spas and vacation deals. Get serious.

@Lauren 4:39pm: Give us some tips on how to save $$$ in grocery stores aside from the easy and lazy Coupon Mom. Coupons are good but not the only or even best way to grocery shop. Thanks.

Go, since you seem to consider yourself a grocery shopping saving expert, why don’t you share this wisdom? Or is it a big secret?
We already have sites like Southern Savers, I Heart Publix, A Full Cup, etc. that go into great detail on how to save at grocery stores. She’s featured Southern Savers in her blog a number of times. There is no need for Lauren to reinvent the wheel. There’s only so much time and blog space.
I like hearing about drug store savings because that’s where you can really save a ton of money if you know the deals. Not having to spend money on toothpaste and shampoo is a true blessing, especially when you can donate some to charity.

Okay folks, it’s very simple. If you want to save in stores – don’t buy anything!
Thank you! Thank you!
I’ll be here all night!
