If helping children in need gives you the same thrill as the 200-foot drop on Goliath, this deal will leave you breathless — or at least with a huge smile on your face.
Enjoy a day of fun and lend a helping hand as Six Flags Over Georgia hosts a school supplies drive in partnership with Kids In Need, a project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Donate six new school supplies to receive a coupon valid for 50 percent off park admission (reg. $54.99) today through Friday.
“Six Flags is always looking for ways to be involved in the community,” said Melinda Ashcraft, Park President. “We could not think of a better way to say farewell to summer than by collecting school supplies for families that cannot afford these essentials for their children.”
Every year, Kids In Need distributes hundreds of thousands of pounds of school supplies to teachers in low-income schools in twelve metro-Atlanta school systems, including Cobb County, Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County and Marietta City.
Guests must donate six or more new school supplies when they visit anytime today through Friday. Suggested donations include pencils, erasers, crayons, spiral notebooks, rulers, glue sticks, broad tip markers and pocket folders. (Most of these you can find for less than $1, some for less than 50 cents.)

I’m all for participating in charity drives. However, Six Flags has a really high regular price that most people don’t pay anyway. There’s plenty of coupons and online specials out there, where you can get into Six Flags for around $30. This “half price” deal really only saves you a few dollars from the specials already out there. Again, I’m not knocking the idea of charity…just pointing out that Six Flags really isn’t offering up a lot for this cause.

I agree with the Realist & Daycare. It wouldn’t be a issue if these kids were well behaved, but they aren’t They are little thugs and thugettes running around with their pants on the ground.

Last time I went to Six Flags I was personally robbed coming out of the McDonalds on Fulton Industrial and again with my wife and two daughters in the Six Flags parking after we got off a tram and walked 50 yards to the car. You guys can have it!

I onced loved 6 flags – always had season passes for self, kids & g-babies. Now (almost 30 yrs later) it has had its’ joy sucked out because it is not safe due to thug like behaviors at every turn. Reefer in the air, items stolen if you rest a moment, just nuiances galore. Even spotted couple having sex behind building, damn cheap participants, can’t even go somewhere private..come on now.
