How do we keep our bonus room, above the garage comfortable year round? Too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer, we can barely use it.

I have the same problem… The builder did not insulate the bonus room floor/garage ceiling or the outer walls of the garage. Was told that if I had those walls and floor done with blown in insulation it would fix the problem.

Good Luck

Your current HVAC system may be too small to handle the addition. I had the same problem and had Universal Heating and Cooling out and they gave me a couple of different options such as upgrading my current HVAC system or adding a mini-split. They are very reasonably priced and have great warrenties. They were at teh Home Show last year which is how I got involved with them in the first place. Their Comfort Specialist are very knowledgable and their guarantees are the best in the business. Also here is their website Hope this helps.

The best way to remove mold in a bathroom is with grapefruit juice. It kills the mold and keeps spores from dispersing in the air. The worst thing to ever use is bleach, when bleach mixes with mold it turns toxic and is dangerous to breathe.
