What would you do with an extra $500?

A CNN report asked regular people a simple question: “If I gave you $500, how would you spend it?”

The answers ranged from buying a new pair of shoes to paying on a student loan to saving it for a rainy day.

While I would be very tempted to use the money to go on a trip, it wouldn’t take me long to decide to spend it on bills.

What would you do with your $500 gift?

I would pay my tithes, get my eyes checked and new glasses, and if there is anything left, I would take my parents to dinner at Houston’s.

Pay off my JC Penney card and apply $300 to my Capital One card. The left over money I would use to put on my move for my new apartment.

Rana~ Please pick me because I really could use the cash!

Save it for a trip I guess, since we don’t have any bills to pay. Maybe buy something for my hubby.

I would set it aside to pay my next Georgia Power bill. As hot as the weather has been, I know it’s going to be sky high. I’d add whatever’s left over to my car replacement fund.

I’d donate it to the Jammal Addison Fund, so that Jammal’s son would have a secure place to live.

I’d give it to the Giving Tree adoption agency. They need it to help Georgia families. Pay it forward.

I would put half of it in the Jamal Addison Fund and use the other half to buy Walmart gift cards for school kids at my church so they can buy school supplies. I would not spend a penny on myself because there are less fortunate people who need help and when we help others, we help ourselves:)

I would put it into the little Jamaal Addison Fund he is the son of a fallen Georgian killed during an ambush in Iraq. His Unit was ambushed and everyone knows Jessica Lynch
was taken prisoner. Little Jamaal was two at the time.
The Jamaal Addison Fund is set up at Delta Community Credit
Union and any amount donated would help. The Grandmothers for Peace have a dream and that is to provide little Jamaal and Patricia Robert’s his grandmother and care taker a
permanent home. We all need to understand the pool of grief
and hard ship that occurs to the families of fallen
soldiers. If his father had returned from Iraq this fund
would not have been necessary, please help no matter how much or how little. Many give some – some give all. Spec.
Addison gave all. Please please help realize this dream.

Thankyou.

Peace
