Christmas in July sales

Target isn’t waiting on the day after Thanksgiving to bust out its Black Friday specials. Starting at 3 a.m., Target will hold a Christmas in July Black Friday sale for online purchases. Some of the highlights include a Philips Blu-Ray Disc Player for $99.99 (42 percent off), clothing at 25 percent off, a CHI 1-inch flat iron for $79.99, and other deals on bedding, toys and decorations.

Toys R Us is in line, too, with great deals that can be used for back-to-school shopping. For instance, all Crayola crayons, pencils, paper and markers are buy one, get two free. Family games are 50 percent off and there are sales on tons of other items. Shipping is free for orders of $49 or more.

For back-to-school, Sears has up to 50 percent off school uniforms and the store is holding weekly specials on electronics, plus there is free shipping for 30 days with no minimum purchase required. Additionally, it has its Christmas in July sale going on with deeply discounted sales on ornaments, outdoor decorations and collectibles.

$20 off coupon at Aeropostale

For online purchases, you can take $20 off a total of $100 or more at Aeropostale if you use promo code 20OFF100. The Web site also has a printed coupon for $10 off any in-store purchase of $50 or more. Combine those discounts with the sale going on right now for 50 percent off tops and you’re likely to score a great bargain at this popular retail outlet among teens.

Fashion clearance at Macy’s

Macy’s is clearing house right now for its fall line of clothes. Summer clothes, shoes, accessories and more are 45-to-75 percent off. Plus, with the coupon found in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, you can take an extra 20 percent off select items, 15 percent off sale and clearance items and an extra 10 percent off all sale and clearance watches and electronics. The coupon is valid through July 25.

Belk back-to-school + Charity handbag event

Izod school uniforms are 40 percent off at Belk department stores and backpacks and dorm room decor are up to 50 percent off. If you order online between now and Sunday, you can get an extra 15 percent off sale items using promo code 74796895. Get the same benefit in-store with this printable coupon.

Chances are, you have a handbag in your closet that you haven’t used in ages even though it’s in good condition. Here’s a chance to donate it to charity, and get something in return.
