Discounted Memorial Day weekend activities:

Diana: A Celebration is taking $3 off ticket purchases throughout this month for military personnel. Active and retired personnel are eligible for the discount if they present identification. Admission to the exhibit at the Atlanta Civic Center is free for military personnel on Memorial Day, May 31.

Stone Mountain Park Festivities

All active military personnel and Veterans will get free admission to Stone Mountain Park on Memorial Day weekend (May 29-31) with a valid military ID. Families visiting with a service member will get $3 off the price of an adult or children’s one-day Adventure Pass, up to six. The Lasershow will be dedicated to the men and women of the armed services.

Georgia Renaissance Festival

You’ll save at the Georgia Renaissance Festival if you go Memorial Day weekend: Tickets are buy one, get one free for full-priced adult tickets (not valid at Kroger or online). Atlanta History Center

The Atlanta History Center’s Veterans Remembrance Day program launches a special partnership with Americans Supporting Americans to foster a military unit stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan. From June through September, the History Center will support Air Traffic Controllers with the F Company, 6th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment known as Skymasters. The foster program kicks off Memorial Day weekend. Visitors who donate a $10 phone card will get $5 off the price of admission to the Atlanta History Center. Free  Museum Admission

The Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University is one of 600 museums nationally that will offer free admission to active military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 31, through Labor Day on Sept. 6. The promotion is the launch of Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families and the participating museums. Other local participating museums include the Center of Puppetry Arts, the High Museum of Art, the CDC/Global Health Odyssey Museum, Chieftans Museum (Rome) and Georgia Museum of Art (Athens). Free Kickoff to Summer Celebration

The Market at Pemberton Place, the green space located just outside of the World of Coca-Cola, will be the site of a host of family friendly activities this weekend. In addition to music and games, artisans will display their works of jewelry, woodworking, textiles and more. Also, all active and retired members of the Armed Services receive free admission to the World of Coca-Cola with proper identification. Regular admission applies for all family members and guests.
