National Doughnut Day | $1 Kids Movies | 50% off at Dolce | Free Refills at RaceTrac | Free IKEA breakfast

Free Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme

National Donut — or is it doughnut? — day is only a week away. My mouth is already watering, but I refuse to give in to the temptation that is sure to come. Dunkin Donuts is giving away a free donut with a drink purchase on Friday, June 4 in honor of the day. Krispy Kreme is giving away doughnuts as well, but no purchase is required.

$1 Kid Movies During AMC Summer Movie Camp

It’s that time of year, when kids can get all of the perks, including $1 movies during the AMC Summer Movie Camp. The shows, including favorites like “Shrek The Third,” “Hotel For Dogs,” and “The Spiderwick Chronicle,” will be shown at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays. You can purchase tickets ahead of time beginning June 8 and the movie showings run June 15-August 10. For the complete movie lineup, go to the Cities on the Cheap blog. Click here for participating theatres.

Free Breakfast at IKEA

Memorial Day weekend is always a big deal for shoppers. Take my advice and don’t do it on an empty stomach. You can get free breakfast at IKEA May 29-31. It’s a small breakfast and a small cup of coffee on the house. On Tuesday night, the Swedish meatballs dinner at IKEA is only $2.49 and includes 15 meatballs and mashed potatoes.

Free Refills at RaceTrac

This is a deal that will pay for itself in no time at all if you frequent RaceTrac convenience stores. You pay $6.99 for a 20-ounce insulated mug and come back as often as you’d like during the summer and get free refills on fountain or drinks through August 1.

50% on Mondays at Dolce

Still have no idea what you’ll be doing on Memorial Day? If you’re at Atlantic Station, keep in mind that the restaurant Dolce takes 50 percent off your food bill on Mondays. The Geisha House does the same on Sundays.

I think it would be a great tribute for Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Doughnut to honor the soldiers and civillians that are overseas serving their country by sending them doughnuts. This was done in World War 1,and it was a honor.Lets put the doughnut chains back on the map and honor those so far away from home risking their lives.

Ikea has the worst meatballs I have ever had. I tried them twice and both results the same. Yeck. Seems like they could get a chef in there that could upgrade that Ikea food experience. Even the breakfast is not up to most standards.

As for the free Krispy Kremes, think I will go get them.

As I have travelled the world, My wife has taken photos of me eating a doughnut/donut in every major city: London, Paris, Venice, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Austria…
And the winner is———AUSTRIA.
Good weight and texture. Aromatic. Just the right sugar to circumference ratio.
Great with a French pinot noir.
