The majority of college basketball brackets were torn to shreds after Kansas laid an egg against Northern Iowa last weekend.
If you’ve given up on the hard-court version of March Madness, you might find this one just as intriguing — and fun!
So, what’s your pick to win it all, the 2010 Worst Company In America? Consumerist.com put this bracket together to help you voice your displeasure with a twist.
Who wins – Toyota or GM? AT&T or Verizon? Citibank or Bank of America? KMart or Walmart?
The search kicks off with 32 nominees, including repeat competitors like Bank of America and Comcast. Nominations for the contest, which runs through April 23, were solicited from Consumerist readers.
“Bad customer service and bad business decisions will frustrate customers and our bracket gives consumers a place to vent those frustrations,” said Meghann Marco, Co-Managing Editor of Consumerist.com, in a released statement. “Each year we see a few repeat nominees including Best Buy, Ticketmaster and Walmart, but some do try and ‘right their wrongs’ and we never see them again.”
Click on the bracket and may the best — or worst — company win!!
Question: What are your picks for the worst companies in the country?

I can’t imagine why the atlanta journal constitution wasn’t on the list…or at least any news organizations like fox news.

Is the Atlanta Journal Constitution a company? If it is, I would like to nominate the AJC. Having employees like Cynthia Tucker, Tony Barnhardt, and Jeff Scultz should embarrass any company.

Fine I’ll bite . AT&T is easily the worst company . Any company that is able to spend so much lobby money that it can make it impossible to do anything about over billing should be destroyed .

Sawnee EMC. They provide electric to North Fulton Co and Forsyth Co. Complete ripoff artists! I only wish I could have some Georgia Power.

LydiasDad,
I went there with my wife back when we were ring shopping (just to get a feel for what was out there) and we left the store in disgust. They continually pressured me to put money down right away; and this was right in front of my wife! When we walked out she was actually the one yelling at them. Awful, awful experience. You get what you pay for and that certainly holds true for jewelry. Those guys suck.

You guys must be idiots. You say that the AJC is the worst company but you are logging onto their website and reading their content. You guys are a bunch of bozo’s
You remind me of all of these yankees around here that complain about how NYC is so much better than Atl but yet they stay down here. How stupid are these people. If i lived somewhere better and moved to somewhere worse. I wouldn’t stay. Could it be that these people are basically “whiners” that only know how to whine and stay because Atl is far superior to the sh%Thole they came from.

News Corp, owner of fox news. The damage it is doing is immeasurable.

Fox News is one of the best companies out there. A voice of reason in a media dominated by left wing loons (NPR, AJC, NYTimes, LATimes, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and so on). And do we need to talk about specific shows like The View, Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, SNL, and so on? They’re all left. Finally the center or center right view can be heard. Thanks FNC!

I’m sorry. Are we still talking about the worst companies? If you want to get into a political discussion, please post on the appropriate page/blog. BTW – a healthy, civilized difference in opinion isn’t a threat to any rational person?
Now – I agree that AT&T is one of the worst!!
