Free wine tasting | Save $70 on spa treatment | Free events | $15 off at Park Tavern | Mamma Mia discounts

Two ways to save on Mamma Mia!

This isn’t a significant savings, but every little bit helps. Using promo code “Dress” when purchasing your tickets to see the musical, “Mamma Mia” at the Fox Theatre, you save $5 per ticket. That amount will be matched and donated to Dress for Success. The musical plays at the Fox Feb. 9-14, and the discounted ticket is available for select performances. Remember you can also save $10 on tickets to shows on Feb. 9 and 10, and Feb. 14, through Travelzoo.com. Read the details of that deal here, as it applies to select seats.

Free Wine Tasting

You certainly can’t say the best wine is free wine. You cannot, however, deny that free wine of any kind is a good deal. WineStyles Perimeter has free wine tastings on Tuesday nights. Taste of any of six open bottles of wine for no charge. The tasting is from 6-8 p.m. Try something new and exotic or enjoy the familiar.

Deal at Park Tavern

No, Piedmont Park isn’t where you want to be when it is 40 degrees outside. Soon enough it will warm up and you’ll be glad to have this certificate in your wallet: For $10, you can get $25 worth of food and drinks at Park Tavern located next to the park. You have until July to use it, but it must be purchased by 10 a.m., Feb. 1. Reading the deal on Halfoffdepot.com, I’m reminded that Park Tavern has $1 beer when it rains, bottles of wine are half off on Wednesday nights and sushi is half off nightly from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Spa Deal

I’m convinced that in Atlanta, at least, there is no reason to ever pay full price for a massage or spa treatment. There are simply too many deals that slash prices in half — or more. Take this one on Groupon.com, for instance. For $55 — $70 off the regular price — you can get one of six spa treatments at Renewed Image. There is also a bonus side deal that you can check out on the site.

Free Events

The weather won’t be at all pleasant this weekend, but if you bundle up, there are things outside of the house you can do — for Free. Check out the InsideAccess blog’s weekend To Do list. Among the numerous events, you’ll see freebies such as tonight’s closing reception for “Leftovers,” a group art show taking place at Aurora Coffee in Little Five Points; A Storytelling Benefit for Haiti taking place on Saturday at the Hammonds House Museum; and the Atlanta Audubon Society Bird Walk on Saturday at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center.
