Half-off tickets to American Adventures Park
Maybe it’s the kid in me, but I love Go Karts. It’s good family fun, too. I found a deal this morning on Groupon that puts a day at American Adventures Park in Marietta on my mind. Here’s the deal: Purchase a $14 pass good for rides, games and food — with a value of $28 — within the next two days. Go here to buy your ticket.
A Barrel of Laughs
I’m looking forward to making my way to the Punchline Comedy Club. I hear it’s a riot and there a nights when there is free admission. This is a great deal, too, particularly for nights when big headliners come to town. Halfoffdepot’s deal of the day is a $20 card valued at $50, and can be used for admission and food. The deal is available until 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23. The discount will be issued in the form of a plastic debit card and the best part is that it has no expiration date. You do have to mention Halfoffdepot when you book your reservation.
$10 tickets for ‘A Christmas Carol’
Industry Night for “A Christmas Carol” at the Alliance Theatre is Nov. 28. That means tickets are $10 for the 8 p.m. show, using promo code INDUSTRY when purchasing online, or when calling 404-733-5000.
Mary Poppins the Musical
While Mary Poppins the Musical isn’t running at the Fox Theatre until April 29-May 6, you can save on tickets now, up to $15 in fact. Through Dec. 5, you can save $15 on tickets originally priced at $57, and $10 off the $42 tickets, using promo code SUGAR, according to Atlanta on the Cheap.
Free Tree Lighting Activities
I wanted to remind you about the Lighting of Atlantic Station, Atlanta’s first tree lighting of the year. It’s Saturday, Nov. 21. The fourth annual event will launch weeks of family-friendly holiday events and activities, many of which will be free. The daylong tree lighting celebration will include a free screening of the classic film, ‘The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,’ along with a miniature children’s train ride, street performers, a holiday fashion show and an open-air market. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. with live musical performances and the arrival of Santa Claus. For additional details and a calendar of activities, click here.
Bull Riding
I told you about the deal through Travelzoo for tickets to the Professional Bull Riders event at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Nov. 20-22. Using promo code TZOO on Ticketmaster, tickets range from $12.50 to $50 for Lower Level and Councourse seats. However, additional fees tacked on are between $10.35 and $12.25. Just today, I came across another deal on the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau Facebook page: A QT package deal includes four PBR ticket, four QT sandwiches (on the day of the event) and a $20 gas card for $99. You’ll use promo code QT2009. That sounds like a better deal to me, depending upon the number of people in your party. Click here to purchase tickets, using either promo code.
