Discount on ‘A Christmas Carol’ at The Alliance

Family Four packs to see A Christmas Carol at The Alliance Theatre are discounted as much as 30 percent for select performances. The package includes two adults and two children tickets, pre-paid parking at the Woodruff Arts Center, a commemorative holiday photo of your family taken before the show and entrance to see the choirs singing at the Galleria at 6:15 p.m. The packagaes start at $160 and can be purchased now through Dec. 17. Available performances include shows on Dec. 10, 17, 21, 22 and 23. Additional tickets can also be purchased at a reduced rate. Free Lighting of Atlantic Station festivities

The Lighting of Atlantic Station is Atlanta’s first tree lighting of the year, and takes place on Saturday, Nov. 21. The fourth annual event will launch weeks of family-friendly holiday events and activities, many of which will be free. The daylong tree lighting celebration will include a free screening of the classic film, ‘The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,’ along with a miniature children’s train ride, street performers, a holiday fashion show and an open-air market. Free Golden Corral dinner

In honor of Veterans Day, Golden Corral restaurants is offering a free dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 16 to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. It’s their 9th annual Military Appreciation Dinner. No military identification is necessary, but friends and family do have to pay regular price for their meals.
