Focusing attention on saving money every day and keeping an eye on personal finance makes you ask yourself hard questions.
Why do I spend the money I spend? Where do I spend money? What does money mean to me, and what does the way I manage it say about me?
I’ve asked myself these questions and more since starting this blog several months ago. I’m sure you’ve done the same thing.
One of my favorite blogs is The Simple Dollar, which has covered personal finance topics for three years. Here’s what the blogger says about his own journey:
Money is an infinite resource – you can always acquire more money. Time is a finite resource – you can never acquire more time.
We earn money through how we use our time. The more money we can earn in a given amount of time, the better off we are. Of course, the contrary is true – we spend our money making the remaining time we have more pleasurable.
What does your money management style say about you? What has focusing on personal finance taught you about yourself and how you value money?
