70% off Restaurant.com | Free Bloomin’ Onion | 1/2 price T.G.I.F. appetizers

Save on dining

Restaurant.com regularly discounts its gift certificates, but it’s still worth mentioning that the site has a significant reduction right now. Gift certificates of $25 are 70 percent off, making them just $3. Enter discount code DINE to secure the price. They also are promoting a free $10 gift from The Fruit Company with your purchase, but restrictions do apply and you’ll want to read more about that on the Restaurant.com Web site.

Free Veterans Day dining

I’ve alerted you to a few restaurant freebies for members of the military, both active and veterans. I just found another one: Outback Steakhouse is giving veterans a free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day. Other freebies include an entree at Applebee’s and a doughnut at Krispy Kreme.

T.G.I.F. Half-price appetizers

The last time I posted a T.G.I.F. coupon, I found it the coupon was invalid. A quick call to my contacts at Friday’s was followed by an apology to any of you who tried to use the offer. This one is legitimate. Today through Dec. 23, appetizers at the Friday’s bar are half-off from 4 p.m. until the bar closes. It’s called ‘Appy Hour’ and is a good deal, in my opinion. Of course, it’s hard to find healthy options on any appetizer menu these days, but enjoy anyway.
