Free theatre tickets at The Alliance
Free tickets are just a phone call away, if you can dial fast enough. The Alliance Theatre is giving away 100 pairs of tickets to the opening of A Life In The Theatre, performed Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. You have to call 404-733-4615 and request the tickets by noon, Nov. 2.
Free Braves Museum admission
Sure, we’d rather be playing baseball in October. But since we’re not, the Atlanta Braves have given us a nice treat anyway. The Braves Museum and Hall of Fame is free on Nov. 14, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., including a complimentary tour of Turner Field. Regular admission is $12 for adults, and $7 for children.
Costumed kids free at the High, Georgia Aquarium; Halloween special at Braves Museum
I’ve gone to see Leonardo da Vinci: Hand of the Genius at the High Museum, and while I really enjoyed it, I’m not sure how much young children would. If you want them to see the exhibit, you might choose to do it on Halloween, Oct. 31, when kids wearing costumes are in free from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
As a reminder, the Georgia Aquarium is also free for kids 12 and under dressed in costumes on Oct. 30 and 31, when accompanied by a paid adult or annual pass holder. Each adult can bring in up to two children, and the aquarium will also have trick-or-treating, music and a costume contest.
All kids 13 and under visiting the Braves Museum and Hall of Fame — $12 for adults, $7 for children — between now and Oct. 31 will be given a Braves trick-or-treat bag, and will get a “special surprise” along every stop of the tour. The promotion applies to walk-up tours only.
Free meal for Veterans
Veteran’s Day is coming up, and numerous activities to honor active, reserved and retired military personnel will take place throughout metro Atlanta. This one has popped on the radar early. McCormick and Schmick’s, a popular seafood restaurant, will have a complimentary entree from a select menu for Veterans showing proper identification on Nov. 8. Reservations are strongly recommended. Click here for a list of items that qualify as identification, and for the locations nearest you.
BOGO Denny’s burgers
I don’t know why, but whenever I think of Denny’s, my mind flashes back to college and late-night parties, followed by a stop for breakfast at Denny’s. You could use this deal for just such an occasion, but you certainly don’t have to. With this coupon I found on freeshiet.com, you can buy one Denny’s “better burger and fries” and get the same meal free, with the purchase of two drinks. You can only use on coupon per person, but it seems to be a pretty good deal.
Free Grilled Chicken at KFC
If you need a reminder, Kentucky Fried Chicken is giving away one piece of its grilled chicken to all customers, today only. There is no coupon to download, and Oprah Winfrey isn’t pushing the freebie, so don’t expect the frenzy we saw the last time this promotion was out.

I’m still waiting for my “raincheck” coupon for the KFC meal from the Oprah promotion. It’s been months now and I’m beginning to think KFC has no plans to honor the rainchecks.

I find the chances of Oprah eating at KFC remote to say the least. Furthermore, even if the big “O” does indulge at KFC given her current body shape she going for the bucket of extra Krispy.

KFC is guilty of false advertising! Your ad stated free chicken at KFC but nothing about locations. My friend and I want to the KFC on Ponce in the City and was told that “we don’t give out any chicken”, so go to the KFC on Howell Mill Rd. So this promotion was for the up-scale neighborhoods and not the Hood? Shame on you for not finding out the real deal on the advertisement.

Mildred,
I’m sorry you had trouble. The promotion is good at 500 KFC locations throughout the nation.
