Celebrity rap artist Bow Wow has made Netherworld Haunted House one of his favorite Halloween haunts. Apparently, the guy has nerves of steel. This is, by most accounts, the most frightening fest of its kind in metro Atlanta. Clearly, Netherworld is not for the faint of heart. It’s so popular, it could probably do without offering any discounts, but there are savings available if you look for them.

You can pick up coupons at select Subway locations for starters. There is also a Creative Loafing coupon that gets you in free to see Zombie Rampage when you buy a ticket to Blood Knight. Netherworld is located at 6624 Dawson Blvd., Norcross.

Pumpkin Carving

Teach a kid to carve a pumpkin, and maybe he or she will never forget. Even if the skill does pass them by, they’ll have fun learning. The Dunwoody Nature Center will teach kids artistic carving Oct. 19-22, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m., for $5. Bring your own pumpkin to the Nature Center, and spend the next few hours putting a personal, fun or scary touch on your jack-o-lantern.

Glad for the Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators are back, offering professional hockey just north of the Atlanta Thrashers. Atlanta on the Cheap found a terrific deal that will afford you some deep savings.

For $50, you can buy a Kroger Family Sunday Package for Sunday’s game against the Wheeling Nailers. According to Ticketmaster, where you’d make your purchase, the deal — worth a savings of $75 — applies to seven games. Here’s what you get:
