Save big on Falcons-Bears tickets this Sunday | 25% off “In The Heights” | $2 scary flicks at The Strand

Save on Falcons vs. Bears tickets

Let’s face it. There’s no cheap way go to an NFL game. But if you can find something cheaper, you’re in business. That’s what this is. Save 35 percent on Sunday’s 8:20 p.m. home game against the Chicago Bears for Upper Level and Mezzanine seats. Tickets range from $46 to $52 on the official NFL Ticket Exchange by Ticketmaster. There are a limited number of seats available according to Travelzoo.com, where I found this deal.

25 percent off “In The Heights”

I also found this deal on Travelzoo.com: Save 25 percent on tickets to see the Tony Award winning musical, “In The Heights” at the Fox Theatre. It also won a Grammy for best musical show album. The regularly-priced $34  Dress-Mid/Upper Level seats are $24, and the Orchestra seats, regularly $48, are $38 with the discount. Click here to make your ticket purchases, using the promo code TZOO. The discounts apply to the following performances:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Scary movies without the scary prices

I’m a big chicken, really. I don’t do horror films at all. I realize, of course, that I may be in the minority. Spooky movies are always favorites this time of the year, and The Strand is obliging the masses with 14 movies through October. Some of the movies are kid-friendly; some aren’t. Movies are regularly $6-$8, but here are three ways you can get tickets for just $2 to showings of ‘28 Days Later’ and ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000.’

  • You can join the Facebook group, I Love The Strand,
  • You can call the box office and mention you read about the deal on the Atlanta Bargain Hunter blog. The number is 770-293-0080.
  • Or you can go to the earlsmithstrand.org and purchase your tickets online using the password OHNO.

Among the featured films are Phantom of the Opera, the first full-length silent film at The Strand, and Creature of the Black Lagoon in 3D.
