Free Georgia Aquarium admission | Freebie at Chipotle | More scary good deals

Free Admission at Georgia Aquarium

In this case, it’s the Georgia A-Scary-Um. Get it? Ok, that’s a little corny, but this isn’t: All kids 12 and under in costumes get in free on Oct. 30 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and on Oct. 31 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The offer is good for up to two children in costume, per one paid adult or annual pass member. The Aquarium will have Halloween-themed decorations and crafts, as well as costume contests each day. The fish won’t wear costumes, but they’ll come as they are — spider crabs, batfish and “ghost jellies.”

Chipotle Freebies

It has never occured to me to dress as a burrito for Halloween, nor have I ever seen anyone in a burrito costume. Don’t be surprised if this Oct. 31, we witness such a strange outfit. The motivation? A free Chipotle burrito, order of tacos, bowl or a salad if you come into the restaurant dressed as a burrito or any of its accompaniments — a head of lettuce, bag of chips, avocado, etc.  They ask that you come between 6 p.m.-close, but if you must come earlier, you won’t be turned away. I found this deal on freestufftimes.com.

Halloween at Michael’s

Looking for something fun to do with your kids on Halloween before the sun goes down? Michael’s, the arts and crafts store, is throwing a sort of Halloween party from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 31. Children will get a free trick or treat pail, take part in a coloring activity and get a free balloon and candy.

Reduced prices on mammograms

The Avenue in Peachtree City has partnered with the Breast Cancer Survivors’ Network to host a Pink Out event on Saturday, Oct. 24. In addition to activities like live music and a fall cookout, shoppers will be offered vouchers for discounted mammograms at OPI Imaging. The reduced exam rate will run through October when you mention Pink Out.
