Breakfast at IKEA
If you want to get your shopping started early this weekend, you might make IKEA your first stop. On Oct. 10-12, IKEA is offering a free small breakfast and a free cup of coffee. That’s good shopping fuel.
Fall Fashion Trunk Show
The slight dip in temperature this week turned your thoughts to beautiful boots, coats and other fall and winter attire. That’s why you might find this interesting. The Fall Fashion Trunk Show is free this Saturday at Phipps Plaza. Does that mean all of the clothes, shoes and accessories are free, too? Of course, not. However, you will get deals and discounts on items from 25 Atlanta designers who’ll set up at the old Niketown store location from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Some of the designers include: Smart Glass Jewelry, Mark Edge, Zoica Matei, and Ann Roth Shoes. For more information on the designers, visit Sode Collections.
From high fashion to…
Thrift store shoppers aren’t out of luck this weekend. A new Goodwill store, this one at 3906 Roswell Rd., Atlanta, opens on Thursday, Oct. 8. The store is in Buckhead and is likely to have designer labels — without the high-end prices. Be patient in your thrift store explorations, and you could very well find some incredible deals.
Girls Night Out
What do girls like to do more than shopping? Let me think a minute…I’m coming up empty! Here’s a little incentive. Belk at Phipps Plaza is hosting with Jezebel Magazine on Thursday, from 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m., a Girls Night Out. Shoppers will save 20 percent on most Belk brands, including those that are typically exempt from sales, and can register to win an assortment of giveaways and gifts. Among the gifts: five $1,000 cosmetics giveaways and a pair of diamond stud earrings.

Great list of things to do. I was watching 11 Alive tonight and saw a website that also features some good deals/attractions called mapyeti.com… it’s not as descriptive as this site but pretty searchable and cool.
