68 cent Cheesesteaks

I love cheesesteaks, but can’t remember the last time I had one. Just the thought of this makes my mouth water: Philly Connection has 68 cent cheesesteaks all day long on Thursday, Oct. 1, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The sports radio talkshow, Buck & Kincade Show on 680-AM The Fan” will do a live broadcast as well. The restaurant is located at 2980 Cobb Parkway in the Cumberland Festival Shopping Center.

Free cookie for National Cookie Month

October is National Cookie Month, and Great American Cookies is honoring the occasion by offering members of its e-mail fan club a free Original Chocolate Chip cookie. Just sign up on their Web site. People who are already members of the fan club will get a coupon for a free cookie automatically on Oct. 1.

Tickets to Zoo Atlanta are 50 percent off — for $10.25 — when you make your purchase through HalfOffDepot.com. Only a handful remain, though, so don’t expect this deal to last much longer.

Philly Connection doesn’t have good cheesesteak sandwiches. Spend the money and go to International Cafe on Buford Hwy for a really good one!
