Admission to the North Georgia State Fair is free today for opening night. As always, the heftiest cost comes with the rides, but tonight, you get all rides you can handle for $18.

The Make A Wish Foundation and Cold Stone Creamery have partnered to host the “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social,” a fundraising event to benefit this worthy organization. Also on Sept. 24, enjoy a 3-ounce ‘Creation’ developed by 5-year-old wish child and 2009 Junior Tastemaster, Jack. He’s on to something, combining sweet ice cream with brownie, sprinkles and fudge. Jack’s Creation will be available from 5-8 p.m. in exchange for a donation to a local Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter. You can also visit your local Cold Stone Creamery from September 1-30 to purchase a Make-A-Wish® star.
“Sabrina” is the featured free film tonight at Atlantic Station’s Movies & The Market. The movie starts around 8:45 and is held in Atlantic Station’s Central Park.
Geared toward families, Boston Market is offering two free kids’ meals for those 14 and under with an adult purchase of $6 or more. The deal includes up to four free kids’ meals with the purchase of a Family Meal. There is no coupon needed, but kids do have to be with you when go. The promotion runs through Oct. 31.
Bring four canned food items or two clothing items to the Chick-Fil-A restaurant located in Chastain Square at 4285 Roswell Road, and get a free Chick-fil-A breakfast biscuit in the morning, or a free Chick-fil-A original chicken sandwich the afternoon. The store is collecting donations for flood victims and items will be given to local American Red Cross shelters. Donations are being accepted through Saturday.
